Karl Urban who plays Dr. Leonard McCoy in the new Star Trek movie talked to The Shatner Project cameras about how he prepared for the role and how he was a fan of TOS before getting the role of McCoy.

The new Star Trek movie had the privilege of being the opening act of my new home theater(led tv, theater seating, and snack bar of course). What else would debut in a Trekkie man cave?
I don't think it's fair to compare it to the original. However, as a stand alone sci-fi movie of the new millenia, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was well cast(John Cho was best) and I look forward to the next one coming out. I believe it is in 2012. Maybe we can get a Sir Shatner appearance in that one!
