It is hard to get someone that looked as good as William Shatner did back then, but most likely he will do a good job. If Bill Shatner thinks so, then he would be the one to know. Bill is one of the Best Actors I have seen on tv or in movies. I would feel he knows best, in this area. I look forward to seeing the film.

I didn't have a chance to see the latest Star Trek movie in the theater and put off watching it on DVD until I got my home theater set up properly(new led tv was the finishing touch). Anyway, last Saturday was the day. While I enjoyed the film in comparison to other Sci-Fi fare over the last decade, it's not really fair to compare it to the original series. Moreover, it's a lot to ask of Mr. Pine to deliver in the same way that Mr. Shatner did years ago. He had a "nice" performance, and I'm sure he's thrilled that a legend such as Mr. Shatner gave him kudos.
