I thought it would be fun to take some of the more recent questions from the message board and answer them in my space. If you like this method of communication, we can do it on a regular basis. It's a good way for me to elaborate more thoroughly on some of the questions. So, here they are?.  |
I thought it would be fun to take some of the more recent questions from the message board and answer them in my space. If you like this method of communication, we can do it on a regular basis. It's a good way for me to elaborate more thoroughly on some of the questions. So, here they are?.
Erifah and Sarah of Borg asked: What do you think the captain's chair will go for at the auction in mid-June by Profiles in History?
Answer: If my tunic went for forty thousand (and you know how many tunics I have), then the chair should go for a monumental price. Let's face it, you know which part of my anatomy reached the chair?let me say this?it was not my tunic! I'm glad it's Profiles in History that is running the auction, since my profile has changed over the years.
Peg asked: Do you use any Star Trek quotes in your everyday life?
Answer: Yes, I use several quotes in my everyday life. I frequently say to my wife, "beam me up, Scotty." I announce with great pomposity to the bagboy at the market, "Live long and prosper."
Peg asked: What is your happiest moment?
Answer: My happiest moment is bending backwards in a Pilates pose, which if said twice quickly, gives me even more happiness.
Sueinbrum asked: If a genie granted you three wishes, the first one assuming that Star Trek was real, what character would you want to be? What are your other two wishes?
Answer: If I could be anyone from Star Trek, I'd like to be Majel because she has this bottomless trunk of Rodenberry's scripts. My second wish would be that pizza not be so fattening; my third wish would be for world peace.
Cath asked: Are you proud of the image that the U.S. has given on television?
Answer: I don't watch my television other than CNN; but I do think that America is the leading country in so many ways. Along with that position comes the responsibilities of being a leader. It's easy to denigrate us because we're in that position.
CaptJTK asked: Do you wonder if the world will ever be safe again?
Answer: As long as we keep communicating in places like chat rooms and message boards, as well as the United Nations and other places, we can strive for understanding.
Ravensnoopy asked: Do you have any good ideas to get to sleep?
Answer: The gift of a good night's sleep isn't a question until you don't have it.I go to a sleep clinic to answer this very complex question because this is one of my biggest problems.
Jims Kirk asked: What was the "noise" that occurred during the filming of "Mind Meld? Was it a "bottom burp?"
Answer: That noise was Leonard gasping in wonderment at the cleverness of my response to one of my rather penetrating questions. I know much has been made of the sound, but believe me, I'm accustomed to gasps of amazement coming from others. (wink)
"Live Long and Prosper."
