I have to admit that I'm nervous about the upcoming Emmys.   |
| Last year I really didn't think I had a chance so I didn't get myself too worked up about the awards. When I won I was so surprised that I hadn't prepared a speech and literally didn't know what to say! But this year it's different since, well, I realize I have a chance to win. So I'm walking around with sweaty palms and a lump in my throat. I can't wait to see what happens - wouldn't it be great if James Spader won, too? It's also a momentous night because my son-in-law, Joel Gretsch, stars in "The 4400" which is nominated as well. So it's a big night for a lot of people. I'm looking forward to it and I hope you are, too! |

Good luck at the Emmys Mr. Shatner. I just watched Mind Meld this morning, which lead me here. I thought it was a very interesting discussion. I'm 38 years young. Four years ago I ended a 10 year marriage to a partner who almost completely drained me emotionally and spiritually. But there were no kids fortunately. I've been slowly rebuilding my life and learning every day. It's been an interesting journey to say the least. But it's been good. So, watching you and Mr. Nimoy talk about your lives openly today was a bit inspirational. I think I share the same attitude about life now as you do. So, keep kickin' it ,and I will too. Thanks.

Hey, Mister Shatner,
Congrats on your nomination and ....
Break a leg tomorrow belting the song with Frederica von Stade at the Emmys! We will all be voting for you at cbs.com.
For those not informed yet, there's a celebrity "american idol" during the Emmys with performances being judged by the public via the net. Mister Shatner will be joined with mezzo soprano Frederica von Stade. GROOOOVY!!!
My wish is that Ben Folds was behind the scenes or just plain backing you two up.

I read the LA times article yesterday and I thought it was fabulous. You truly understand what's important in life and I appreciated all you had to say.
