2004 has started out with a bang ? or should I say, a splash. Elizabeth and I traveled to the beautiful and exotic Maldives early in the month. I thought I lived in the lap of luxury before the trip but there I learned what luxury really means. We stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel and experienced an absolutely phenomenal time.
  |
| Our adventures included a stay on a dive boat that boasted a luxury master suite and some of the best diving in the world. It took us two days of traveling to get home but the time was well spent. The trip will go down in memory as one of my most wonderful adventures ? not only because of the wonderful accommodations and sight seeing, but because I got to spend it with my beloved wife. I am now back home and looking forward to what the new year brings. |

Glad you had a time of refreshing and romance with your lovely wife Elisabeth. After all the travelling you both did and the events you both participated in, you both deserved a rest, and it sounds like you had a very nice and wonderful rest in deed.:) With both your batteries charged we can't wait to see what you have planned for us this year!!!!!
God's blessings upon you and Elisabeth this year (and Lisabeth too!)

I am glad that you and your wife Elizabeth had a relaxing getaway together amid all the busyness you've been through. I'll be married for 29 years this June and I'm still finding out things about my husband that I've haven't noticed before. He has a way to look into people which could be classified as empathic. Not too many people have that.

I'm so glad you and Eliz had a great time. The Maldives are indeed beautiful and the scuba diving is unbelievable. Just don't do any business with anyone down there. I lost my shirt.

You keep on kid! You always have a tendency to come out on top, huh? I am getting married in June and I will be taking my first real adventure (or at least leisure adventure). I think we will be tasting a bit of Jamaica. I hope it goes smooth. I've never been out of the country before. Anyway, this is my first time on your site and I already feel welcomed. Thanks for your thoughts and good luck to Elizabeth and yourself this year. --Patrick

Just a quick note to suggest reading the reviews of "Captain's Blood" over at Amazon; it's worth the time and you deserve a few pats-on-the-back. Sounds like you've another hit on your hands, poor guy!
Best wishes and LLAP!

Hi Bill, My name is Grant "Gruntman" Mellegers. This is my first visit to your awesome website. I arrived here through a link at paintball sports international. I am a big fan of yours. I grew up on Star Trek.
I just wanted to thank you for the great things that you have done for paintball. I have been playing for about 16 years now, and I think paintball is the greatest sport ever. Over the years paintball has received some bad press through the actions of a few bad apples. But the paintball events that you have been involved in certainly show the best that paintball has to offer. You are truly a paintball hero.
I hope to one day bring my team (The Roughnecks) to play in one of your events. We haven't been able to get it together for the last two splat attacks, due to various complications, the biggest being the travel distance. We all live just north of Toronto, Ontario Canada.
Anyhow I am glad that you and your wife enjoyed your vacation and I look forward to visiting this site regularily. Hopefully I will get the chance to meet you on the field of honor at Splat Attack 2004. Sincerely Gruntman

Is there an area on this site where you stand a reasonable chance of actually contacting Mr. Shatner?
I met him in '79 when he emceed an event in St. Louis. It was a celebration of the tenth anniversary of Apollo 11. I followed him to a ballroom under the McDonnell Planetarium. (Where was security when the Captain needed them?) There was a string quartet playing that he seemed to enjoy. I was surprised that I was taller than he was. (He looked so big on TV.) He was in a nice suit and I was in jeans and a blue shirt with the tail out. (Definitely out of place.) We shook hands, talked a minute or so, I got his autograph and left.
I just wondered if he would remember me.

Dear Bill, How fabulous for you and Elizabeth. I have 4 beautiful huge photos hanging in my lounge room taken,in the Maldives. Since learning to dive back in 1970, and my fab dive trips to the New Hebrides, Fiji, Honiara & Guadalcanal, the next place I desperately wanted to go to was the Maldives, unfortunately my marriage failed and money was tight. Maybe one day I'll get there. You did take photos to refresh you dear memories? if so could we see some of them please on Bill's Space?
I'm so happy to hear you both had such a beautiful time there. Best Wishes to you both.................Robyn from Australia.
