	This year, as I have for many years, I spent the holidays with my family. I was surrounded by my daughters, sons-in-law, and grandchildren on our yearly vacation. This year we had a new edition, my granddaughter, Kaya, who is a year and a half. Of course, she?s brilliant. She amused and amazed us all with her powers of deduction, agility, and uncanny beauty. I?m sure it?s all genetic. Out of the 48 chromosomes, I?m sure I have claim to 47 of them.
We played in the water, went scuba diving, and even took a surfing lesson. The only one who managed to stand up on his board was my younger grandson, and he doesn?t even like surfing! We also managed to fit in a lot of eating (hey, we?re the Shatners, after all.) It was a grand time. Everyone got to know each other all over again on an intimate and more personal level. It?s gratifying and such a pleasure to be a member of my family. I hope all of you passed a safe and happy holiday season. It?s a new year and another chance for us to share our thoughts together. I am looking forward to it!

I am glad you are letting us know what a grand time you had at the holiday and you got to see your grand daughter as well and bond more with her. Thamks for sharing, and I look forward to a new year on knowing more about you and your family! :)

Sounds like all the Shatners had a wonderful Christmas Holiday...That's great, it's so nice for families to get together...We enjoyed our Holiday with our Son and our Grandchildren too...

Our family (we have six members in ours-our oldest daughter lives in North Bay, ontario with her husband) spent a quiet Christmas at home except our youngest daughter went with her boyfriend to visit his uncle.  And there was plenty of snow on the ground for Christmas.  The rest of our family lives in another state so it's not so easy to go down to see them but we go down there as often as we can.....It is nice to know that you and your family can get together to share in the holidays.

Bill    I envy you and your family. Envy is not a good word as it is one of the Sins, but my reason is, I have no Family.......no living relatives, and was never  able to have children, even tho I was married twice, so when I read of your close family, and the love that exists amongst you all, I am envious.                       I'm so glad you have had another great Holiday Season with your beautifully chromosomed grandchildren.       Having just received the new DVD of  The Final Frontier, the love that comes through with your daughter Liz, the warm giggles and finishing each others sentences, reveals the strong bond between you. Hi Bill,

I'm very glad you had such a wonderful time with your family and was able to meet the "new edition" of the family, your granddaughter, "Kaya". What beautiful name. I'm sure the name fits her perfectly.

just gonna start off by saying my mum is a hudge fan of u on and off start trek and i am too. i was woundering afew things when r u gonna pop down to see us in the u.k next? and are you going to apear in Free enterprise 2?
oh and im gonna buy that paintball dvd for my mums birthday : )

Besides an extremely egotistical statement, that I cant believe you would make, that was a stupid statement. Any high school graduate, or even middle school one, would know that humans have 46 chromosomes. Unless they are mentally retarded, when they have 47.
