I use the internet for:
1) Reading Roger Ebert's movie reviews; IMDb reviews sometimes
2) William Shatner BBS
3) Research for my fiction
4) Ordering products (when I have the money)
5) Job hunting (when I don't have money)
6) Listening to French radio stations
7) Checking the Sci Fi Wire for science fiction news
Online banking (when I'm juggling five cents to create the illusion of ten cents)
9) Travel information and maps (usually for others)
10) Checking TV listings (mostly to see if Enterprise is a rerun this week)
With rare exception, that's it for me. The research can get interesting at times. My most recent research had to do with Joan of Arc, and I found a very good site on her.
Of course, I use the e-mail often. But that's not, strictly speaking, the internet. |

| Gee, I noticed that the "eight + close parentheses" became an "emoticon." Apparently, there are codes for those little yellow faces. Probably to dissuade us from lists that go beyond #7. |

A) There such a thing of Too Much Knowledge in regards to Criminal minds.
B) Need to change all the perky-tit, tight-ass-blonde-bimbo sites (ref. Porn) from '.com' to ".sex", make it a LAW, that all porn sites have to be under the ".sex" or they will be shut down. By doing this, there would not be a problem blocking the stuff from the youth and all the pop-up crap! |

The internet has, in the six years that I've had it, been an invaluable tool for the continuation of my education, the research of my family history, the formation of friendships, and the opportunities that it has given to me in publishing some of my writing.

| The internet can be fun like going on your favorite websites. The internet can be dirty and dangerous. |

Sad to say, but it was a boon to me. I work nights and I go sometimes days (weeks?) at a time and the only other people I see are my co-workers. We're so bored with each other, I guess, that while we sit literally feet apart, we send emails to each other. Like "I'm going to get a coke...want anything?" Or "You're too quiet tonight....you mad at me?" Replys or silly comments go on like this for the the whole 12.5 hour shift. We even email questions or comments about what is going on with our work. The internet has made us lazy. I have email and chat group friends all over the world that I talk to on a regular basis. Yet I haven't spoken to my neighbor in months. I live by emails, faxes, and the answering machine. Its my contact with the world. I shop, bank and socialize on the computer. Its gotten to the point where I have to 'buy' my time to just sit and play around on the internet. For every hour on my arse in front of the new 'boob-tube' (the monitor) I do an hour on the treadmill. We're not 'couch-potatoes' anymore...I'm a 'mouse-potato.'
