Post subject: Incredibly Useful Websites

It occured to me when I was posting earlier that it might be nice when we run across a really useful website to post a link to it for others, sort of as a public service. If Yahoo! Internet Life can do this, so can we! So:
Urban Legends
This site is really helpful in sorting through a lot of the nonsense that seems to work through the aether of the net. It is helpful to have a guide like this available. Ok so now ya'll post web sites that you've found useful. Thanks! |

TV Guide.com
Especialy their Search Listings section.
A MUST for a TV watcher. It's also a good way to figure out every single thing Shatner is on in TV in your area for the next 2 weeks.
Stinsv.com (Star Trek IN Sound and Vision)
A must for nice Trek pics. No linking.
http://www.voyager.cz/tos/seznamepisod.htm
Best current source for Star Trek images. Unfortunetly the site goes down constantly because of over-linking.
http://www.grsites.com/
Great site for web page graphics, and that little gif you need now and then.
http://sharamelan.tripod.com/commodores ... index.html
Great source for Trek images, gifs and such. Extremely unorgainzed, unfortunetly.
http://wavcentral.com/
Great source for wavs.
http://www.fedplace.de/animain.shtml
Another, far more organized source for Trek Gifs.
http://members.tripod.com/~starshiptalar/
Another great source for Trek gifs. Unfortuently, completely unlinkable. Best gifs I ever saw, though.
Moviewavs.com
Best source for wavs, TV and film alike, I ever saw.
I might have more on my school computer. I think I have the best site for Monty Python wavs somewhere.

Here are a few sites that you guys might like to check out.
http://www.outpost10f.com
Best damned chat room and community on the internet, with over three thousand registered, regular visitors. Features weekly trivia, simms, special holiday events, guilds, etc.
http://www.stinsv.com
Star Trek in Sound and Vision is one of the better and more organized Star Trek media outlets on the web, with thousands of pictures, audio files, and a special section with hilarious parodies.
http://www.ditl.org
The Daystrom Institute Technical Library contains an amazing array of details about starships, aliens, characters; and is a valued resource for many die-hard Trekkies searching for quick answers to trivia questions.
http://www.sitinthecorner.com/binary/binary.php
This is a binary code converter which, if in case you ever have someone speaking to you in binary code, will enable you to translate what they are saying, and then reply in kind.
http://www.timezoneconverter.com/cgi-bin/tzc.tzc
The Time Zone Converter allows a person to insert a specific time, and translate it from country to country quickly and easily. If you are trying to figure out, for example, what time it is for Sueinbrum, while your clock reads 4:36 in the PM on Monday, November the 11th, well, you're in luck!
http://www.maylin.net/Fireworks.html
If you hunger for some fireworks, but find it is illegal, and maybe a bit stupid to set them off in the daytime, then go to this URL and take a gander.
http://www.smilies-world.de/Smileys.htm
Here is a website for you to find all the smilies you desire. From the absurd to the viciously evil, you can find just about any smilie you want.

Rag--
Heh heh heh--nice smilie.
NH--
Probably not something everyone would be interested in, but while browsing my list of favorites just now I ran across the Cthulhu haiku site, which you might enjoy.
I also enjoy checking out spaceweather.com for info on solar flares and such (be prepared, that's what I say!).

I got it off of that smilie website I listed. It was page '3', under 'Bad Smilies'. They have a couple of Locutus ones, I believe.
