It looks like the GOP had a good night.
I think it interesting, this Board seems to have an almost equal number of political viewpoints. By that I mean, well its not too
hard to tell who are the die-hards on both sides.
Then there are some who can vote either way. I voted both for Democrats and Republicans today.
I met Roy Barnes, our Democratic govenor in my front yard, shook his hand. I voted for him, looks like hes a goner.
I hope we can all accpet the election results and move on without the rancor of 2000.

Looks like the normal debacle of Florida didn't rear it's ugly head today. Looks like Jeb did very well, at least better than most of the elections we here about anyways.
Unfortunately it doesn't seem to have been a good day for any third party people.
I almost felt bad for my mom a little while ago while talking to her on the phone (but not really), she's getting harassed by her own mom and her children because she doesn't vote. |

The outcome of the elections will likely determine who will be the plantifs and the defendents in the court battles over voting irregularities which the losers may allege.

| Some of the voting machines in Florida this morning were registering votes for McBride as Bush votes, so I expect there will be some scrutiny there, and there should be, since the Bushes have a history of voting machine rigging. It's how Sununu became chief of staff in the first Bush White House, after New Hampshire's voting machines unexpectedly delivered New Hampshire to Bush Senior in the primaries... |

I think there is voting machine fraud only when a Democrat wins.

| Speaking on voting machine fraud in Florida, I've got a lot of friends and relatives there and one of them was talking to a guy who actually has worked on the machines responsible for all 'hanging chads' supposedly the only way that can really happen is when three ballots are being punched at the same time. I've never been able to verify that one but it sounds like a pretty valid premise to me. It's certainly made me wonder just how come so many ballots had hanging chads in the first place. At the very least it sounds like Florida needs some new voting machines. |

For a minute, I felt like Granny when even Jethro lost his appetite,
she said, "well you just can't count on anything anymore".....
I just saw James Carville put a garbage can on his head, trouble is, he took it off
Sorry, I am a political moderate but, I have never liked that guy.
I heard everything he was ever going to say 5 minutes after his mouth opened.

First time I've ever heard anything like this, I looked around a bit using google and this seems about as valid as my three ballot per each gore vote theory. Got anything more than just that statement? |

| That is a LINK I provided for tj because he asked for facts. I believe both sides will steal votes if they can. The likelyhood that Bush SR stole the primary in 88 in NH is covered on that link, if you care to read it before you castigate me again... |

As always, everyone is judged from the view point of the person making the judgement. It will vary with the individual. IMHO.

o?pin?ion (?-p?n?y?n) n. 1. A belief or conclusion held with confidence but not substantiated by positive knowledge or proof. 2. A judgment based on special knowledge and given by an expert. 3. A judgment or an estimation of the merit of a person or thing.
Everyone has an opinion. It's defined as a judgement.

They are already ruling... that's the problem...
See, we elect people to govern in the people's name... not to rule. The GOP has a problem understanding that, it seems. |

IMHO, it's a good thing they are ruling. Democrats are not as good at prosecuting a war as republicans. And we are in a war. If the democrats win a majority in the government, they will renew their plans to siphon money away from national defense, and into free programs for free loaders. IMHO.
