Nurses hardly ever get all holidays off. I have to choose between, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day. So, no family gatherings for me. Since I'm Jewish, I usually work Xmas so a Christian coworker can be with her family. My husband will either volunteer at a Thanksgiving dinner for Seniors given by Lombarso's here in Randolph or will drive to NH to his brother's.
I'll just cook my turkey earlier in the week. I hope everyone has a safe and fufilled day.! |

Boy!!! Just like the Xmas decorations in the stores....we're getting a little early jump-start on the Holiday well-wishing.....
Thanksgiving is a funny holiday for me...considering my ancestors hosted the first dinner....and None of them are alive in my family to have another.....so usually, sneak something I fixed ...liked Baked Iroquoise Apples, to the elderly in my neighborhood...and something down to the homeless guys living behing Pier 1, as well as the homeless cats.....AWWWW, I'm making myself sad.... |

I think I'm going to take the kids to NYC for the Macy's parade this year, weather permitting. I'm still a little nervous about the city, but Alice has never had the chance to see Santa arrive in Herald Square.
I'll post pics if we go.
Other than that, dinner at my sister's.

Thanksgiving? What Thanksgiving?
I haven't celebrated Thanksgiving for four years...thanks to my job. I have to choose b/t that holiday and X-mas, and X-mas holds more meaing for me.
Being 321 miles from home, it's hard to go home for every holiday, and working full time at Wal-Mart doesn't help b/c of the day after Thanksgiving...also known as "Blitz day". It is the busiest shopping day of the year...and I work in Layaway. I have to work Thanksgiving day, the day after, that Saturday and Sunday...
...my life really sucks sometimes. My parents were actually going to try to come up and visit me for Thanksgiving, but b/c I'll be working most of time, we all decided it would be a waste of time
I miss my family soooooooooo much! I haven't seen them since July.
I need a hug.
