Game Of Shadows.
Anyone else seen it? Very well done, and it never lost my interest.
Period piece and action adventure all in one, something for the whole family. Like the Indiana Jones films, they were always great.
I try hard not to listen to the film critics. From what I've heard, they panned it.
Anything out there right now you'd recommend? If you get the chance, go see Holmes. |

Sherlock 'olmes, A Game of Shadows" was better than Guy "Lombardo" Ritchie's 1st attempt in '09. The actor who plays Moriarity is a better villain this time around and he's much more believable.
Thank God the dog is back! You don't have to wait long for his triumphant return.
The actors aren't whispering or mumbling like the 2009 film. For some, the way the action scenes are edited may be irritating. Kinda like The Matrix.
"Morton" Downey Jr. as 'olmes makes good use of his pipe and if you're a Walter Pidgeon fan, you won't be disappointed.
I never try to mention the plot when posting about a film and I hope I didn't give anything away by mentioning the dog. Can't wait to see "The Artist" and the dog in that movie!
If Ohm's Law states "The current through a conductor between two points is directly proportional to the potential difference across the two points" and the electrical resistance is measured in Ohm's, one can naturally conclude that Sherlock 'olmes takes the path of least resistance while on a train with a conductor who is nowhere to be found.
'olmes...Ohm's...conductor...train...resistance...Guy Lombardo.
Minor quibble...the dog could've had a bigger part.
Also, I like the way 'olmes was "tryna blend". Aww yeeah! |

On the day after Christmas Day,I paid for one movie(Sherlock Holmes:Game of Shadows) and I saw 2;the other was Mission Impossible:Ghost Protocol(you know movie prices are expensive and that was a matinee price of $9.00).Despite the critics' review,I enjoyed them both for that's a gift to myself from me.I highly recommend them both. |

Ticket prices are way over the top around here too, $11.00 a person. Luckily, we have the Optimum tripleplay, where you bundle cable, phone and internet all through the same company. Since Optimum owns the Cinemaplex, we get free movie night every Tuesday. 2 tickets free of charge with your Optimum card. Not a bad deal.
I was given a Friday's gift card from an office buddy, so we had dinner for free too. Talk about a cheap date...... |

saw Sherlock Holmes... loved it. (Loved the first one too)
May see Mission Impossible, the Artist or Tin Tin this weekend. (Always a democratic pick in my household...) |
