That is too cool. I'd love to see that place firsthand.
I remember when I was maybe 4 or 5, my Aunt Jackie married a really cool guy, who for a while was my Uncle. He converted most of their cellar to a multiple train set up, complete with bridges, tunnels, sheep and goats on the hills, mountain passes, switching tracks, etc. Whenever we went over there I would get lost in that cellar for hours with my Uncle Gene....which made visiting Aunt Jackie much more enjoyable.
Of course, Jackie divorced Gene, and that was the end of that, and I'd almost forgotten about it until I started watching your video. Thanks for reminding me of that. That was a great memory....I don't have alot of good ones from back then.
I've often thought of trying my hand at model trains someday.
Maybe when I retire. |

I own a post-WWII house, its built like a tank but old.
A Mr Ivey that I bought the house from had a model train
that ran around the den, up into the attic, and back down again...
I've covered up all evidence...
/too bad that was before Vid-phones... |

Cool!!!
I'm going to be getting possession of an old toy train set this week. I seem to remember it going around the Christmas tree at my grandparents' when I was really little (like less than 10 years old). I haven't seen it in years. Apparently my cousin has had it in storage for quite a while. He's passing it on to me, since I'm the oldest grandchild!! |
