GB: It’s neither gigabyte nor Great Britain.
It’s the Green Bay Packers.
And with last Sunday’s (12/4/11) win, GB head coach Mike McCarthy has achieved something supercalifragilisticexpialidocious:
He’s surpassed Vince Lombardi’s best season, he’s surpassed Lombardi’s 1966 pre playoff (12-2) season.
How did he do this?
The GB Packers won their 13th game in a row.
In Green Bay, there’s God Almighty and Vince Lombardi. Packer fans will – on occasion – view them as indistinguishable. This despite the fact that Lombardi (96-34-6) isn’t GB’s winningest coach, Curly Lambeau (209–104–21) is. True, Lombardi has the better win-loss percentage (0.738), but Lambeau has the greater number of wins (209).
Yet, if you had told me, that, within my lifetime, Lombardi would be surpassed ... well, I would have been more likely to believe you if you had said, “We’d been invaded by aliens from another galaxy.”
In Green Bay, there’s reality, fantasy and Lombardi. In Green Bay, fans like to believe this is Lombardi’s motivational speech; when, in reality, it’s Al Pacino’s speech in Any Given Sunday. In Green Bay, Lombardi is permanently enshrined in the Pantheon of Heroes.
And Mike McCarthy surpassed him.

Green Bay is unbelievable this year. That was a hell of a game yesterday, and I thought Giants, of all teams, were going to derail their perfect season. Green Bay fans are living a dream.
In myth, I don't think anyone will ever take the place of Lombardi.
I don't even want to talk about my game, except to say Jason Garrett should be executed at dawn...... |

Bears and Broncos are dueling it out and it 0 t 0 right now in half time..
Both teams are making good plays and bad equally but no points either team...
