When everything goes wrong, and half way through, you just want to quit it, head home and hide under the covers? I just did.
Luna wasn't feeling good this morning and threw up. At lunch I took her to the vets. Turns out the vet thinks we've over induging her, too much "people" foodand she is now on a strict diet for a few days, and observation. She also has to have 1/2 a Tums every morning.
After the dog threw up, and I finally got into work, I ended up getting into a stupid argument with the dept. head. Really stupid, nitpicky, and I sort of was laughing about it the rest of the day. It has to be dealt with later. Nothing serious, but annoying all the same.
Then I get a phone call at right after I get back from the vets. Catherine's check engine light came on while she was out with her friends at lunch. She got the car to the mechanics, and they needed a lift back to work. Set all the ducks in a row and set out to get her. Got back, got back to class. TG for my assistant Andrew.
Later in the afternoon I get a call from the mechanic, $350.00 for the fix. I know that's getting off easy, especially with a Subaru, but $350.00 4 weeks before Christmas is still $350.00 4 weeks before Christmas. On top of the unexpected vet bill.
Finally we get home about an hour ago, and Bridget informs me she has choir practice for the Christmas concert in 1/2 hour. No warning. Left C here to get dinner, and head back out. TG she has a ride home later.
Mind you, all this and I'm still hobbling around here like an 80 year old. TG I wasn't scheduled for a rehab session today.
Finally I get back here, and the phone rings. It's Lowe's..I think, ok, to confirm delivery this weekend. Nope, stove is back-ordered and even though we are on the top of the list, earliest it'll be here is December 17. Figures. If not, then I have to go back there and pick out another one for instant delivery. And you know I'll raise hell then. That'll still give us only 7 days to get everything done in time for the big day. And we're having the entire family here....
When it rains it pours. Which it is right now. Pouring.
And of course I'm soaked cause I left my umbralla in the car at lunch, and didn't have it when I left work.....
It's a good thing I don't drink anymore....... |

That got me thinking...
My sister was sick last week and I had to work about 50+ hrs.
I was thinking it was stressful and could use some time off....
but
looking back it was a good rewarding week....
What's that saying?
Life is what happens when you are making your other plans? |

We had a doggy diarrhea incident today that involved stuff all over the dog, floors, and even the walls (not sure how that happened). Poor little guy is old and can't control much anymore.
My take on it? Sometimes life is full of crap.......... |
