The "tech", "Dave" at Just Answer gave me a half-assed answer, charged me $39.00 and keeps spamming me.
I posted a question invloving a Verifone VX-570, point-of-sale terminal. It went into Tamper Mode. I posed the question by asking how to get it out of tamper mode. Within in the question, I said that I'm having to return the terminal back to the manufacturer and it's costing me anywhere from 50 to 79 bucks for them to reset the terminal. I asked if anyone knew the procedure to reset the thing so I wouldn't have to return it to Verifone.
Well, the answer I got was, "The terminal must be returned to the manufacturer". Okay, I'm out 39 bucks but here's the thing: this guy, through Just Answer, keeps telling me how he "helped me with my payment system question" and if there's anything else I'd like help with when the mudderfugger did no such thing!
I responded several times, telling the site how I didn't get a sufficient response but that was like screaming at a wall. All I can say is I hope others have a better time with these frauds...SCAMMERS! AAAAAAH!

I hope that you didn't pay with credit or debit card and if you did, watch your cc account like a hawk for the next few weeks.
A lot of times, you should be able to find a website for the company that makes the product that you bought and often times there is a message board where people will report the same or similar issues and provide the solutions. |
