When I read what LS posted about blowing wind, I naturally assumed this thread was about passing gas, and that was something that both the European cultures and Native Americans shared. Then I got sidetracked by something shiny outside, and never did actually figure out what was going on.
Nice video in any case.
Terry, have you ever been to the Pacific Northwest area? I took some great pics of the Oregon Coast when I was there last month, but the pics are so huge, I can't figure out how to put them up. |

...there just might be a workable plan there!
For the time being though, this afternoon was spent soaking up some rays on the backyard patio here in Toronto with a cool bottle of water within arm's reach...

That would be fun! I can always send you my cell phone number, in case you have any spare time. |

We're looking at probably being in Hershey the weekend of 23/24 July as it stands now. I'm sure that I'll be raising my periscope here on the WSBBS that weekend with a few pics, as well as during the weekend prior (from Williamsburg) ...so if you're available to join us for a pint, coord'ing a suitable meeting spot at that time shouldn't present too much trouble!

It's been 33 years since I was in that area, but there used to be a "Mrs. Richardson's" (or something like that) in downtown Hampton that had some of the best crab cakes you could find. In Poquoson, at the end of Messick Lane, there was a restaurant that didn't look like much of anything but had some of the best seafood you could find (the flounder stuffed with crabmeat was scrumptious!). We used to also go to the Fass Bros Fish House for fried flounder... it was pretty good back then, and fresh (my brother worked for them for a while cleaning the docks).
The Mariner's museum in Newport News was very interesting and I would recommend it to anyone - and I've heard it's been significantly expanded.
The Jamestown site was rather interesting when I lived there, but they've made some significant discoveries since then and it should be a lot more interesting. The drive from Williamsburg to Jamestown was especially pleasant when I lived there. The Williamsburg Pottery Factory used to also be a place we liked to visit... not far away and even as a kid I liked poking around the place.
There should also be a lot of new information (maybe even a visitable site) for Powhatan's village. That is a fairly recent discovery. |

Nah, it wasn't nearly as much as it might seem in the pic ...I had a perfectly ouch-free night's sleep and woke up no worse for wear...

Nice shirt!
Wow, you had a lot of color that day, I'm glad you didn't have any pain with that burn.
Have you ever visited along the North Oregon Coast? I'm talking Astoria to Newport. Really beautiful views, some of the best I've seen anywhere. And another amazing place to see is Eastern Oregon, around the Bend area. A lot of volcanic activity in that area, and it left obsidian flows, buttes, and beautiful lakes, like Crater Lake. |

...I don't need to repeat a New York congressman's mistakes to have learned from them.
