I can do electric strings in under 14 minutes. I can have the strings stretched and in tune in 20.
It is about the same for me on 11 gauge acoustic strings. But, acoustic strings take a little longer. I prefer to let them sit in tune over night and retune them again for perfect clarity.
I restring my guitars so much I thought I had a thumbtack in my boot. It turned out to be a piece of guitar string.
Since 99% of my stuff is in another city. I am getting my portable rechargeable PA system back next week.
I start recording next month.
"MBI PSYCHO ONE EYE FUTURE ROCK-N-ROLL"
I am ready to rock AUSTIN upside DOWN.
This music is exclusive. There will be a iniation price to get into my shows in the "FUTURE". I will be at the doors to see who is true to get in then I am locking them. I am a busy bee. If you worked 18 years on a new style of ROCK-N-ROLL I am sure you would agree.
Hmmm.
Sincerely,

I usually have someone else restring my guitar when needed. That way they can check everything out to make sure there isn't any strain or wear and tear on the neck and body.
I used to have an Hawaiian guitar. Those are fun to play. I also had a electric guitar, but I really like the sound off an accoustic guitar better. My favorite is a flaminco. |

As a person who only knows 3 chords on the guitar - never had the opportunity but I do know that Eric Clapton's nick "Slowhand" comes from the fact that he's not too quick replacing a broken string.
And Neil Young keeps a second guitar nearby in case it happens to him during a performance. |

That is cool.
I take pride in doing it myself. I am a master craftsman when it comes to my guitars.

I have been there and done that. And, I am still doing it. I did not know they worked like that though.
You will be surprised how good I can play with a missing G string or lower E.
I am damn good.
I earned the right to say that.

Depending on which three chords you know, you can play a lot of tunes with them, simply by moving the chord positions up of down the fret board.
There used to be a rumor going around that Elvis only knew three chords and the reason he kept changing guitars during a concert was so each guitar was tuned to accomodate those three chords. (probably one of those urban legends). |

Some people can appreciate music but cannot produce it. I am such a person. I will be satisfied with my adoration of The Ventures, the greatest instrumental guitar band of all time. they were the non-vocal equivalent of The Beatles. |

You can do alot on 3 chords if you know how to strum a guitar.

I have to tell you this. I play my ass off. And, it is the hard work that pay's off at the end of the day.
"MODERATON"
I have a world wide galaxy army. Hmmm.
I like those Paramount star's on the new Star Trek with the new theme soundtrack going. All those star's are amazing. But, I just like these ***.
I have to meet my Roadies Face to Face. It is a "TRADITIONAL" thing. I am sure you understand. I feel the same way about that tradition just like the guitars I keep in my hand.
Sincerely,

Ian, Dan and anyone else out there, what's you brand of choice? I mean, what do you play? I have an old Washburn that I hack around on, but I've never really been a serious guitarist. So, what do you play, and if you could have any instrument out there, your dream, what would it be?
I really like my Yamaha upright, but if I had my way, (and the $) this would be the one:
Anyone have a cool $90,000 I could borrow? |

I'd have a Stradivarius, 3/4 like my Otto Herrmann from Mittenwald,Germany
Stradivarius violins are known for being extremely famous and expensive as well. A Stradivarius violin made during the time period in which Antonio Stradivari lived is believed to be the most famous and expensive violins. If the violin was produced in the 1680’s, it could be worth more than hundreds of thousands of dollars today, if it were to be sold. If a violin was produced during the period between the early 1700’s up until 1720, otherwise known as the “golden period,” and the violin is in good condition, it is sold at very high prices. A violin produced during this period can be priced at over millions of dollars. Not many Stradivarius violins are sold however, for many of them are owned today by either musicians, or organizations and foundations such as the Stradivari Society. The highest price that a Stradivarius was sold for was $3,544,000, but this was merely the highest price bought at a public auction. The bidder’s was reported to be anonymous. This violin was called the Hammer, and was produced during the golden period, in the year 1707. Before it was sold at over three million dollars, the violin’s price was estimated to be no less than 1.5 million, and no more than 2.5 million dollars. But on May 16, 2006, the bidder bought the violin, and the bid was recorded into history as the highest price an individual has ever paid for the Stradivarius violin at a public auction. Private sales of Stradivarius violins have exceeded this price, however, so the Hammer remains merely the highest priced violin sold at a public sale.
I am disappointed in myself that after I left the Washington DC Junior Symphony, that I rejected playing any more....

I have a 12 string. With the onset of age and arthritis, I cheat. I only string one side at a time.

I have a Gibson 1974 Midnight Special... First Gibson that was all Maple...and also the first Gibson with 24 frets!
I have an Epiphone Curly Maple Les Paul
I have two Ibanez AX-70 Hard Bodies...(Red and Black)
I have an Ibanez Artist Series that is Gold Fleck
and a Yamaha Single cutaway acoustic/electric
I would choose a 1957 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop

That is really cool about the Gibson 1973 Midnight Special that is Maple with 24 frets. I had to sell most of my guitars settling my debts. It was not the first time and it won't be the last. I don't dwell on the past.
I am sticking to my guns on my ex-roommate screwing me over. !@#$
I will take your advice and go with the 1959 Les Paul Deluxe.
