Now wouldn't this make an interesting story? Maybe Paul could do a mini-film on the whole adventure. |

If it wasn’t clear at the time I posted it, this was tongue-in-cheek ...not the ‘gentleman’ part (I am that), but the suggestion that it would be in any way appropriate for a married woman to go on a multi-day roadtrip with a man who isn’t her husband (it clearly wouldn’t be).
However, my interest in seeing a puppy adoption party as the destination for a WSBBS ‘Gumball Rally’ stands...
...there's some serious fun potential there!

One door closed and a window opened.
My husband called me a while ago. He was looking at the SPCA site and apparently they updated the pictures. One of the females in the litter were pictured there and I was told that the entire litter had been adopted.
So I called them and asked about her. They got out my application again and I was approved for her as well!!! So we can pick both up next Tuesday! And here is Lilly Lou:

YAY...THERE YA GO...I KNEW SPIRIT was working on it !!!!
Though you missed a really good trip with Terry!
Just because a woman is married does NOT mean she would be going against any rules of Etiquette to be with a GENTLEMAN and AWARDED
Military Officer on a Road trip for such a worthy cause.
Heavens, there are separate rooms at stops, etc.
I wanted to hear about the lunches and see pics on the way....
Maybe someday...if YOU do go down to GA anyway, Terry
NOW...get out the padding for the furniture legs...MOM |

It would still be great to have a Shatner Shindig.
I can say the house is DOG proofed but puppy proofed may be off the mark. I'm gonna have to go to the basement and get some stands for my plants sitting on the floor. Don't want them eaten!other than that I think we're good. Gonna have to get on all fours and double check. |

Thanks, but the 'optics' would have still been waaaayyyy bad...
...that, and Tina would have surely tried to steer me toward eating all the wrong foods along the way. I've heard the caloric horror stories about 'Cracker Barrel' restaurants!

Given the number of WSBBS'ers who call the 'Eastern' time zone home, I agree and think that - with a reasonably central location (around the North Carolina / Virginia border?), the right scheduling and enough promotion and enthusiasm, there's all the ingredients for a teeeerrific Saturday night!

...heck, who knows who might make an unexpected 'what the heck' appearance from the west coast?

...Atlanta in September.
Something a little sooner - near a BEACH - would ring my bell!
(but I'm max-flex)
