Taken using just a phone But you do get the feeling of terror they can cause,
They were lucky and dodged a bullet here, the factory over the road was badly damaged.
6 people killed in this one , in Chickasha and the next town.
That is Jeanette filming, and her car lost a window, all in all a lucky escape I would say,
This is the second one she has experienced both were in Cinemas she worked in.

Holy Cow!
I don't know how anyone lives in a tornado zone.
I'll take a good 'ol hurricane anytime. |

Yes Thank whoever!
I believe this type is called a wedge tornado .
However it did take a life in Chickasha this was the scene , a caravan was lifted up and crushed a young woman .
Scary enough for this mum in Australia

I bet it was Scary for you...it's HELL worrying about what is happening so far away. Of course, being from your Genes...she just had to go outside and point it out...and then Video it..wink wink. Really lucky it slid right by them. What crashed into her car window?...or was it pressure that shattered it..wait...if it was pressure they both would have gone...right ?...so what did she find in the car ?
Weird how she isn't at home to take advantage of the bunker you had put in...for the last two Tornadoes.. right? 2?
That poor woman...I guess Mobile Homes are not the safest in that region.
I hope it was instantaneous for her...so SAD.

One was in Guymon in her cinema complex
and this one in Chickasha, where she works part time Ron is the manager of this cinema,
When I went to the Shatner weekend 3 years ago. I witnessed a passing storm front ( no Tornado) but I thought then how far away from a solid structure They were, and to be honest their home is just as light as some of the caravans, you know the homes built in factories and setup on your site. When I got home I looked for a bunker in her area, and this very helpful builder of them gave me a great quote, and had it in the garden within 1 week, it is was this type above .

That looks pretty darn cool...I'd LOVE to see the inside.
If the high water table wasn't here...I would have one put in...just to Hide in when I can't take it anymore....Maybe I would put a Tardis on the outside |

Here is the link to the supplier and it has a small set of images showing the inside
http://tornadotough.com/underground.php
From memory it was 8 ft, long by 6 ft, and the hight was 6 ft 6 ins
Made of thick concrete, the door was a gas type, and the ladder was sturdy. .Yes a very quiet retreat I would imagine.
It has a vent in there as well of course:)

Wow, that happened so fast!
I'm glad she is safe, and I'm glad she has that bunker if it hits at her home. |
