Take me out to the ball game ... as long as Frank McCourt isn't there.

Karl, remember Frank McCourt, the author/school teacher who wrote, "Angela's Ashes"? Maybe the Dodgers owner will write a book called, "Ebbets' Ashes". |

Well put, JT.
I didn't know about Angela's Ashes. Do now. The Internet taught me. Via the Internet we can learn from the best, or the worst.
As for Ebbets' Ashes, Ebbets Field was obliterated in 1960 by a two ton wreaking ball painted as a baseball...
Yet you remember Ebbets Field. I remember Ebbets Field. It's still there. The baseball wrecking ball never reached it. It never died.
__________
"I know Oliver is dead. Malachy knows Oliver is dead,
but little Eugene is only two and too small to know anything. Malachy and I make him laugh, pull faces, put pots on our heads, take him to the park, show him the flowers. Me dad says Eugene is lucky to have such brothers like me and Malachy. He died anyway."

| Sometimes life throws me a curve ball and I just don't know enough about baseball to finish the metaphor... |

Likewise, my lizard friend.
Hope all has been well.
Listening to the Brewers right now, and it isn't not a promising start to the game.
We did get to our first game last night, and it was a beauty. As was the ridiculously huge new scoreboard at Miller Park. |

Good to go to a game every now and then...

cool guys there....
I finally decided to go meet some of them last October
for Bobby's last game, we had a great time and won the game.... |

Like the way The Tanner moved to Lynchburg, the Expos just relocated and called themselves the Wershington Natties. Just like how Breakfast at Sardi's morphed into Breakfast in Hollyweird.
At least ya had a team from '69 to '04. Montana never had an MLB team. When the A's moved to Oakland, just about everyone in Philly either had a heart-attack or jumped off a bridge. I think only 4 people survived the news. |

HA! HA! And now with Amazon.com's new service, it can happen instantly!
JJ Hardy is playing for Baltimore now! Messed up oblique, but he should be back soon. I wonder whats going through his mind, playing for the O's. Last night, I saw the O's post-game show with Buck Showalter. It lasted all of 5 minutes after one of the reporters said "Thankyou". Buck's reaction was priceless. It's like he was thinking, "Is that it?? No one cares enough to ask me another question? We won this time!"
I was wrong, over 7 minutes. His wild reaction at the end is cut off, but you get to see just a little bit of it right at the very end! RATS! I wish the video would've gone on for just 3 more seconds!
