41 degrees is still freezing on a motorcycle! (Not to mention the high winds)
Did a Polar Bear run today, just got back. Over 100 miles round trip. Even in full leathers and thermals underneath, damn it's cold.
It was still fun to get out there with snow covering most of the ground. We've had to cancel a bunch of runs this season because of bad weather. The streets were clear, but pretty torn up by all the plowing they've had to do, so it was a dicey ride. But I made it.
So what has everyone been doing this weekend?
Staying warmer than me I hope..... |

So, when you returned home, did your daughters refer to you as a "Pop-cycle?" |

Very good!
How are you doing Sue?
Actually the older 2 were in PA at a ski meet with the school, so they were probably colder than I was. |

I am doing just fine. Yesterday was a bit hectic. That plane crash in California caused a major power outage which effected the company I work with. It is amazing how it caused problems all across the country.
I would love to learn to ski, but as it is I would need "butt" skies because that is how I would probably go down the mountain anyways. I have been on a bob sled a few times and on a tobaggon though. They are fun. |

I had a few of 'The Boys' out of their locker to give them some fresh air...
Shooting can be a very relaxing recreation...

I really envy folks who get out on the weekends. And asking for time off is a pain in the ass. |

True. The Gnome may injure himself and be out of commission from doing his commercial ventures. |

That beauty on the bottom looks like it would come in handy for close encounters. N |

Agreed, I enjoy it very much, although I prefer a 9mm Beretta.
Impressive stock you have there.....
Remind me never to piss you off. |

Bridget just said "you should become a snowboarder then, that's how 99% of them go down the mountain"........ |

Actually Sue, for someone into shooting sports, it's a rather modest collection (even by Canadian standards). I get out to the range perhaps once every 4-6 weeks or so on average - more in the summer / less in the winter - and find it to be a great stress reliever. When you're shooting, you're concentrating on nothing else but the immediate task at hand ...and after a couple of hours of it, I feel completely refreshed mentally (not to be confused with feeling completely mental).
By the way, I don't have a hunting bone in my body ...I'm strictly a 'paper target' kind'a guy.

It's a highly customized/'tactical-ized' short barrelled Remington 870 12 gauge shotgun. Funny you should single that one out ...not only was it the first firearm that I ever purchased, if I could only keep one of the ones I currently own, that would be the one.
It's a true 'Zombie Slayer' ...and make no mistake, the zombies are coming, Hollywood tells us so.

Being a fellow shooter, I'm sure you'll agree that the demands of responsible firearm ownership tends to make firearm owners - as a group - among the most level headed and emotionally balanced that you'll find anywhere. There are of course the occasional exceptions, but I have yet to personally encounter one on any of the ranges that I've shot on (those types tend to have their licences and range memberships revoked rather quickly). |
