I saw Liberace at Place des Arts in Montreal... I took my Mom and my Grandmother and to this day they say its the best concert they ever saw.
Unfortunately by then, I had experienced Pink Floyd at the Stade, Supertramp at Jarry Park and Elton John at the Forum...and Queen ... so his costumes weren't all that ostentatious by glam rock standards.
Despite Liberace extravagance, he was an uber talent. |

My grandmother used to weep every time she heard Liberace play the piano.
She even had a beautiful black cat named Liberace. My grandfather said it was the 'peein'est cat he had ever seen.'
Unfortunately as a toddler I wasn't able to pronounce 'Liberace' so I called the cat 'Ipsy Opsy.' |
