Sounds exciting.

I remember paying no attention to these before until
I read one concerning the opening scene of "Insurrection"
...and it was right on Cool

Question

No I just don't like the look of the ship. Also, I don't want to read plot spoilers.

Yeah! I can SEE the ST-TMP and TNG influence!.....and THAT THING is suppose to bring 1st generation trekkers back into the fold??????? Does paramount honestly believe that THAT monstrosity or is it abomination....is going to recapture the hearts of old line trek fandom? Next year when this latest debacle opens long misguided paramount is going to wish that they had kept that THING in drydock. If Bil is really down in the dumps about being locked out of star trek then my guess it would cheer him up almost immediately to see a picture of that thing. He might even break out laughing although I`m not laughing. I`m just truly dumbfounded at the mentality of the fools running paramount who shortly will be burying star trek forever.

Here we go again... The ever-so "optimistic" mental meanderings of Morgram. As usual, you will be wrong. Star Trek seems set to be the movie event of next year. Abrams is a savvy player, and even if the film turns out to be crap, like... say... Transformers, it is certain to do well. Having said that, I have heard nothing but positive comments from everyone who has had a glimpse at the film.

With new Trek and a new, wonderful, glorious President... Man, life is good! Wink Wink Wink

Here's a bet. If the movie is a flop, I will never post here again. If the movie is a major hit, you will promise to do the same.

So THIS is the new Paramount/J.J. Abrams recipe for success. A mingling of some of the visual elements of tos with tng. Some recipe. My initial impression was that this newest film was to be a tos throwback pure an simple instead we`re going to get this nonsensical conglomeration? Tos and tng are fundamentally incompatible with each other. Tos was a product of the 1960s, mores and all, while tng reflects late 80s/90s and 2000s left-wing political correctness. This impending mess might work with some very young movie-goers if paramount is real lucky. What a mess that thing is. Methinks I hath madeth an easy wager. Apparently from the looks of that thing Abrams is going to try and bypass TOS altogether and just link some elements of ST-TMP with TNG.

I wonder what the late Joan Winston and Bjo Trimble would say if they saw that thing.

No Sticky!

Also, can we pre-define "flop" and "hit"?

Millions (or billions) of dollars perhaps?

Morgram is so sure the film will be a 'flop'.
Harry_Mudd is damn sure the film will be a 'hit'.

Are both of them sure they're willing to leave the forum because of this bet?
