If in 12 months from now the world is in the thralls of a global economic depression spurred on by the implementation of premier Obama`s socialist economic policies, who gets the blame???

What I find interesting, and this will be the only such comment and observation I will make on this, is as an Australian if I was to say anything negative about America, its President and or its form of democracy I would be told I was Anti American.

What do you call it when your American and cant respect the position of President and the Democratic system that selected him. The great thing is in four years time you get to have your say again. Did you vote BTW, often I find the loudest critics don't.

Lighten up, the world loves America again, that a pretty good start.

With Obama being voted in as President elect, in one night we've gotten back the allies that deserted us because of Bush. The man has already made progress and he's not even in the White House yet.

Yes, we can give glory to God for this accomplishment.

And we can set up soon to be ex-President Bush in the White House Hall Of Shame. Wink

MOSCOW — Russia's constitution will be amended by year's end to extend the presidential term to six years, lawmakers have promised — a move that could pave the way for Vladimir Putin's return to the Kremlin.

It would be the first change to the Russian constitution since its adoption in 1993. A six-year term could mean 12 more years as president for Putin — the current prime minister — who has not ruled out getting his old job back.

OH THIS SURELY WILL BE BIG TIME "TALKING" FOR "he who shall not be named". Rolling Eyes

The SNP failed to overturn Labour's majority but managed to increase its vote by more than 4,500. The Tories and the Lib Dems lost their deposits.

Labour's majority of 10,664 at the 2005 election was reduced to 6,737, although the number of votes it polled actually increased.

I must have blinked and missed, all the drama Wink

Had to laugh at this reaction though.

"The prime minister has hailed Labour's Glenrothes by-election victory as a vote of confidence in the government's handling of the economic crisis.
Gordon Brown said the result proved people were prepared to support governments who offer them "real help."

If losing almost 4,000 votes is "confidence in the Goverment", i wonder how many lost votes they think no-confidence would be.
