Hi my name is Brandon Michael Keys and this is my first time coming to this forum and I dont know were to go and whats all here so I am kinda lost here. I live in Granite Falls, Washington in the Pacific Northwest were Seattle is I am of 24 years old and was born in June 11th 1984 and I grew-up with Star Trek as a child of the late 80's and early 90's. William Shatner is one of my biggest role models when I was growing-up as a little child he gave me hope knowing that there are good people in this world and knowing that many friendships can be developed between a lot
of people. "Thankyou" William Shatner for everythang you have done
persanally for me and my life. "Thankyou" again!! |

Welcome Brandon....from Dallas.
There's 2 forums here....this main board & "The Captain's Club" & it's kinda more Shatner specific.

BUT.....what I wanted to tell ya about was......Shatner Weekend 2009.
Your comment about good folk & developing many friendships brought the Shatner Weekend to mind. To make this REAL short...since the mid 80's... the folk in charge of the fan club have organized a weekend of Shatner specific activities for members.... This year it'll be the last weekend in April in conjunction with the Hollywood Charity Horse Show in Burbank that William Shatner hosts. Activities run Fri- Sun....it's all just "good folk" ....young-un's like you to old-un's..... & all Shatner fans.
Whether or not the weekend continues it's fine tradition depends upon whether or not enough fan club members are interested....and whether William Shatner can participate again.
Give it a thought or 2...I'll scrounge up some more info on the weekend, if you're interested. |

If you could please take a moment and post your thoughts on films, culture and technology of a pre-1020's nature, I'd appreciate it.
For starters, do you agree that we hard-working citizens of Earth have the inherent right to pay for, and consequently view grainy, almost destroyed films on our high-def televisions via our cable companies?

Here's a late welcome from Sweden. Halloween has really taken off here in Sweden the last 10 years. They still think that everyone has to be dressed up as witches and ghouls and zombies and therefore the older people protest that the younger people are disrespecting the next day, Nov. 1, All Saints Day, when the Swedes traditionally go to cemetaries and remember their dead relatives. I wish they would start thinking more creatively about costumes and have cuter things. It doesn't have to be scary. So I was busy answering the door all last evening.
