We had snow today! This is entirely unexceptable for New Jersey! They just said on the news that the last time they had measurable snow in Central Park on this date was in 1892!
Seriously, this came out of nowhere, they said a few flurries mixed in with rain, but some people around the area have 6 inches on the ground! Where I am I have to deal with slush & ice. I'm just not ready for this.
By the weekend it's suppose to be in the 60's, and I'll be out on the bike. I was suppose to get a haircut this afternoon, and Mary had play practice, but everything was cancelled and I ended up having a very quiet afternoon.
Spooky doesn't like this weather at all, he's very confused. So are we all..... |

Same thing in Pennsylvania. Totally unauthorized SNOW complete with tree limbs down and power outages no less. Sheesh I so agree. I'm just not ready for this.

I am watching WGNNews9 in chicago right now and they are showing the radar for NY and NJ. They are saying parts of NY got 12 to 16 INCHES of snow!!!
We had some flurries yesterday and it was nasty cold today..We are going to warm up to 60 by thursday but we are headed for a wet and stormy 2 weeks after Halloween....
Stay dry Steve and be careful on the bike!!!!

Wow. We are having some beautiful weather here in the NW, with sun and temps in the 60-70's. The trees aren't turning color the way they should for this time of year, since we've had the warmer temps.
Enjoy the snow, and drive safe! |

| Flurring here. We've had really nasty wind since Sunday. I mean nasty. The Halloween wallpaper I put on my front porch is destroyed, props have fallen down and even the heavier bodies scattered in the front yard I had to chase when they started blowing up the hill. It's been ridiculous. Cold, rain and snow I don't mind, but I hate the wind. |

| The last time I remember snow in Shocktober was in 1985, for southern Pennsylvania. As far as the weather goes, there's no such thing as normal. Climate = change. |

Oh God, I hate it when you have those dead bodies in your yard, and they get all wet and decayed, and the wind starts blowing bits around, and, oh wait, were you talking about fake ones? Er, forget I said anything..... |

When it's cold, the best place for dead bodies is in your car's trunk! Kinda like a fridge!!
Cat, even more shocking are all the ghost tours and the ghosts hanging out in Gettysburg! Everybody hosts ghost tours these days! OOOOOOO! So many ghosts around here!
Over 12 inches of snow in the Pocono region in Pennsylvania. Thanks a lot, Cheney! That guy and his weather machine!! |

The show, Ghost Hunters, did a segment on a fort in that area. I know the areas around Gettysburg are reported to be some of the most haunted in the nation. I'd absolutely love to do a few EVP sessions in some of the old battle fields. I'm pretty sure I'd hear a lot of the old soldiers blaming Bush......... |

You're absolutely right! ALL the ghosts blame Bush! Not just the army of northern Virginia or any other group. They hate Bush! But they can't haunt him because Cheney's weather machine also doubles as a ghost buster machine. You just turn the knob so the vacuum goes in reverse. So, the ghosts are very frustrated and they take it out on the patrons of the Dobbin House Tavern.
I was in Gettysburg recently and someone asked a photographer if he conducts ghost tours. Without hestitation, he said, "Yes, I do!". I burst out laughing, not because of the ghosts but because he was so quick to answer "yes" and I just wasn't expecting it. It threw me off, I laughed, and the tourists who asked the question were just glaring at me. |

My favorite Oregon ghost is the "bandaged ghost" of Cannon Beach, Oregon. Apparently he (or she?) attacks cars and people, and has left bits of it's soiled bandages on people's belongings. Not the most sanitary ghost, but still pretty darn cool. Of course now that I have openly discussed it's existence, it will have to punish me......... |

I know the K Falls area well. We always spent our summers travelling down Hwy 97 from Redmond to K Falls. |

Same here. Snow last night. Had to take my car to Walmart for winter tires this morning at 6:30 to beat the line up. Winter tires are mandatory as of Dec 15 in Quebec.
However, it's all but disappeared but the temps dropping and we still have a lot of winterizing to do around the house. |

We got flurries here. Nothing stuck though. A lot of wind too!!! I think we passed it on to Tina!!!!
Today it's just darned chilly here. And living a half block from the lake isn't helping matters much..... I've already purchased my window plastic, though!!! It was on sale and I scooped it up (while I have the $$ to do so)!!
I had to turn the furnace on too |
