Spooky. Gorn, you got!
The kids wanted to name him Mulder, but when I said Spooky, they reminded me that Mulder was know as "Spooky" in college, so Spooky stuck. He's a great dog and after about 3 hours of hell this afternoon, the dogs are now getting along really well.
I'm going out tonight, and have no problem with leaving the kids with the "3" dogs. This is great.
Shadow was a great name, and he is my shadow, but Spooky was the kids pick. Of course, because of the X-Files reference. |

I agree with Littlestar. Nothing saying a pup can't have a middle name. Spooky Shadow.
He is adorable. Perhaps Spooky and Tanner can colaborate on making some doggy films and Paul can have a new project for his IronSink productions. |

Oh, he's a cutie!
I can understand your girls wanting to name him after "Fox Mulder". I know Spooky will make a wonderful addition to your family. |

Spooky Shadow. Sounds good to me.
The kids are calling him FBI Special Agent "Spooky" McMulder at the moment.
I don't know what this dog is mixed with, but he seems to double in size every ten days.
When we went to pick him up yesterday, I couldn't believe how much bigger he was then when we first adopted him 10 days earlier. He's already head & shoulders above the doxies. But the boys aren't taking any crap from Spooky, Mel has had to put him in his place a few times already.
The girls get upset when they fight, but I've had to explain that they are establishing the pecking order.
He was very good overnight, I crated him about 1AM, he cried for about 1/2 an hour, and then was quiet until I let him out at 7 this morning, and did his "business" in the yard.
This has been easy so far. I thought the boys would of put up much more of a fight, but nope, hardly at all.
It's a wait & see as to how big this dog is going to be. Funny thing about him though, he talks. Actually whines at you like he's trying to converse. This is great! |

Some of my cats are talkers. They make funny chirping sounds and look right at you when they are doing it. I really wish that humans had the gift to understand animal languages. Life on this planet would never be the same. |

I have a pic here (sorry about the quality but this was taken about 30 years ago or less-I have to wait for my husband to scan the pic so there would be better detail).
It is a pic of my mother with her two dogs. The little black one was called Chi Chi and the bigger one's name was Duchess. Chi Chi was a mix of Chihuahua and Manchester Terrier and Duchess was a mix of Belgian Shepherd, Boxer and Collie (her mother had the boxer mix, had the short black coat, she got the coloring from her father who had the long hair).
Chi Chi loved sitting on Duchess' back and both loved the snow (Chi Chi loved following behind Duchess because she would make a path for Chi Chi). They were both cool dogs and I still remember the time when I first introduced Kevin to them Chi Chi decided to jump on his lap (I think she claimed him then and I believed she knew we would be together for a long time).
I really miss them. |

When this one was a puppy, I asked my girls (at the time)
what to name him. The four year old said "Bam Bam"...instant take |

What a great pic!
Mary, old pics are the best, memories of dogs gone by are great. I've had a lot of them and each one is special. So far in my life I've had 6 great friends that I was blessed to know.
Just an update on our Spooky, he's developed an addiction to the dishwasher.....
Everytime I open the door, he's fascinated with it, licks it and wants to climb in. Not normal, I know... |

Not abnormal.
Every time I go into the bathroom Bam Bam likes to
climb into the tub. I think he likes the cool of the porcelain.... |
