Not that i'm saying all women are obsessed with shoes but.....

footwear vending machines. This particular dispensary is on London's Carnaby Street and spits out Onitsuka Tigers. The machine holds 24 pairs in 6 different sizes.

Women and shoes have sort of an inelastic economical relationship Idea

Let me explain.

Most items have an elastic relationship economically. Price goes
up, demand goes down.

Some items, like perfume, and IMO women's shoes, have an inelastic
relationship.

Better put. Do you know any women who would buy a 50 cent bottle
of perfume?

Shoe vending machine= bad idea Idea

Let me know how things work out Arrow

My current pair of shoes? $6 USD.

They never last more than a year with all the walking I do, so I get the cheapest, most comfortable pair I can.

So Tina, or any other ladies out there that would care to answer, what is it with girls/women and shoes?

I think I have 4 pairs, boots for the bike, sneakers and 2 pairs of dress shoes for work.

Every time I take the kids to DSW, their eyes glazeover and they are in heaven. The first time I took Mary there, she said, and I quote, "This is better than Disneyworld"!

They each have about 10 pairs of shoes, but if I went upstairs right now (early Sat. morning) and I told them we were going to DSW, they'd be out of bed and in the car in 5 minutes. Shocked

I'd like to see that reaction in about 5 minutes when I wake them up and tell them it's time to get busy with their chores..... Very Happy

Unlike clothing, you can never get "too fat" for a pair of shoes. That great blouse might not fit you a week from now, but your shoes will.

However, I wouldn't buy shoes from a vending machine anymore then I would online or in a catalogue. I need to try them on, walk around in them, make sure they fit properly.

And lately, I hate shoes. Because of a constant fight between mom and me. I insist because of my weight, my natural clumsiness, and my hyper-flexible ankles, I cannot now, nor will I ever be able to walk in heels. (Keep in mind she wants me to get heels that are a 1/2 inch to maybe 2 inches tall at the most.) She insists I learn. She won't let it go. It's worse then the Bra Wars, when we used to fight over what size bra I should be wearing. It took an expert who messured me before that fight finally ended. It'll take an expert in shoes to prove to mom I'm too fat and clumsy for heels. So right now, I HATE SHOES!

But eh...to be honest there has been a time I had over a hundred pair Embarassed
I kept every pair I bought from the time my shoesize didn't change anymore...I had those platform shoes from the sixties in every color and hight you could imagine...pumps from the fifties from my mom because they looked so cute with those beads and silver clasps....
Slingbacks....spikes nearly 6inch high...Italian handmade shoes my nan brought me from Rome.....sensible German boots and snake skin boots.
You name it and I had them.

But then Pat my son met his now wife and SHE is even more crazy about shoes than I am AND she has the same shoesize.

Well I just acquired some new shoes.. heels to be exact. 2 pairs of red shoes, 1 pair of brown shoes. I have lots of shoes.. to go with the right outfit.

Mostly, I love my tennis shoes and roxy sandals. I tend to be like Sandra Bulloch's character in Miss Congeniality, when she got her makeover and came out of the "garage" and fell on her face.. Heels are so tricky to maneuver in .. I am SO calamitous its not wise for me to wear those very often!

meh! Rolling Eyes Laughing Laughing
