The 1st thing I saw was Michael Strahan, former NY Giants DE!! I scrolled down too quickly.

The bridge looks really cool.

The one pic with Kirk and the shuttlecraft in ice was chilly also!

I wonder if Spock is going to neck pinch anyone in this movie.

Harry, thanks for the funny comment on youtube! Really enjoyed the Eisenstein comparison!! Hee! Hee!

It was the Tibet monicker! Your comment and the other 4 are funnier than the video! Wow, I'm really happy you liked it! I thought it looked like it was put together by a 12-year-old but now I feel better about it. Okay, I'll make more!

Actually, I just watched it again. You are a surreal fellow, and I love it! Keep up the good work, Charlie Brown!

The big nose is a result of TV Land not listening to our requests for Michael Palin in The Life of Brian. You know the scene where Palin is called, "Big Nose" and he gets really angry after hearing it several times?

"You call me 'Big Nose' one more time and..."

Not the original bridge? TV Land's fault again. Their tentacles are starting to attach to everything non-TV land. TV Land is like The Blob, oozing it's way into our lives. It's time for us to team up and get 'em again! Now is no time to give up on sticking it to TV Land.

I see also the official site is under constuction

http://www.startrekmovie.com/

I wish someone would say where Star Trek is planning to go, I'm not really thrilled with the idea of a total remake of TOS or making Star Trek like Batman with every movie having a different Captain Kirk. I think Star Trek is different.

Nope sorry Harry. I've seen all the pics they released recently and I have to say it leaves me cold. Star Trek TOS was and still is among my most favorite shows and when I look at these new actors; well they have made these well known and beloved characters unrecognizable to me. I mean, I know who is playing what role but they are strangers and I feel no real need to get to know them. IMO no one can replace Bill, Leonard or DeForest in those roles.

I am afraid if this "new" version of trek catches on there is no place for it to go except to roll right over TOS almost erasing what has come before and that will not sit well with me or interest me in the least...But then again JJ doesn't care about alienating old fans, since he has said over and over he is making this movie for "fans who love movies not necessarily for the old fans of star trek" Well good luck with that JJ.

I'm reserving judgement on the movie until it comes out, however, I have to admit that the pics were cool!

Thanks Harry.

The character of Nero looks interesting. Let's hope Eric Bana pulls off the portrayal of a Romulan nasty as a memorable character.

If it leaves you cold DebE, it leaves me frozen in shock-horror, you have made excellent points and I believe that it is appropriate for me to start a new thread on this topic. Your comments will be welcome.

WHY? Rolling Eyes
Because Kirk, Spock, McCoy and Scotty deserve better than to be turned into effeminate politically correct eunuchs by J.J. Abrams. That`s why, Mudd.

It's only a frickin' movie for crying out loud folks. Methinks some obsess too much.

And I think folks mistake the actors for the characters.

The movies are about characters, the actors portraying these characters are not the characters themselves even though they may bring part of their personality to these roles. The problem I see is that we make gods out of them.

I would have to see the film to make an unbiased judgment Morgram.

Yeah right. TOS fandom has been so unduly biased against Paramount, Berman and company ever since their perfectly understandable removal of Shatner from Star Trek back in 1994. Right?
