| As bad as it is, OJ is being used as a political smoke screen to keep us in the dark about even more important national matters. |

I find that unlikely. His crime would be the same whatever the political climate. |

Apparently, he did the robbery to recover the items, he had "hidden away" to stop them being sold, to raise the, $33.5m compensation to Mr Goldman's and Nicole Brown families, getting paid.
How ironic that this trial and judgement, came, exactly 13 years after his first. |

My first thought was that b****** will finally have to pay for his actions.
No more looking for the killers on the golf course..... |

While I understand the above post, I disagree. The "G" family has been seeking monetary repayment for 13 yrs. they've never sought/sued or said they wanted justice; they're just greedy.
As for this verdict, the stuff was his to begin with and I'm suprised that the jury found him guilty on ALL charges. |

He went about it the wrong way to get his stuff back and it didn't help his case when firearms were shown during this 'robbery'. |

True. It is just that if it had happened to someone who wasn't a high profile figure, we may never have heard of the inncident. |

He received the benefit of the doubt 13 years ago.
This time, I think many of the charges were trumped up and I do find is surprising he was convicted on all charges. However, I think Schadenfreude and the old adage of "fool us once, shame on you, fool us twice, shame on us" came into play.
I also can't help the feeling that he deserves to be behind bars. |

I don't know if I would say that he got "the benefit of the doubt" as much as there was no way he could be prosecuted once that b****** of a "police officer" was proved to be a liar and willing to railroad minorities.
I am beginning to suspect that OJ might have been guilty in those murders (I still have a couple of doubts, but I strongly feel he was involved), but once that SOB (dirty cop) was exposed, there was no other verdict that could be given- it rendered the entire case against him suspect.
The blame for that fiasco should also be put right on the person who should carry it- the crooked cop. There is no excuse for anyone in authority being willing to railroad others- NO MATTER WHAT.
As for this time- ironic justice???? |

Anyone who doesn't think The Juice is as innocent as the day he was born is a racist! Same goes for people who don't vote for Obama!
Hee! Hee!
The Juice: A victim of the American Justice System, which is notorious for jailing minorities unjustly. Man, I'm having fun today!!
This is a travesty! When will our racist country give a fair shake to ALL it's people?? |

Not everyone knows this, but OJ was given a lie detector test, which he failed miserably. Because they are not admissable in court, the jury had no idea.
I find it unbelievable that the jury let him go anyway, just because they though the cops planted evidence on him. There was blood on his sock (found in his bedroom), for Heaven's sake! OJ and his friend looked incredulous when the jury found him not guilty, didn't they? What a bunch of idiots those jurors were (in my opinion). |

| Well, at least he won't be doing any more killing, unless he gets jealous over a prison boyfriend, or something. |

The latest I heard this morning is that he wants a new trial. I guess that he honestly believed he could cheat justice again...... |

Anomalies, the jury really didn't have any choice.
If they'd convicted OJ, they would have opened up a huge can of worms- once that @%$@## cop was shown to be a liar who was willing to railroad African-Americans (and possibly other minorities), any evidence connected to him was suspect, as was his testimony.
Indeed, any evidence at all was suspect after he was proven to be a bigot and liar who would break the law.
Sadly, it has been my experience over the years that there are far more cops like him than people realize. I've kept my mouth shut for over 29 years over things I heard from police officers- and still fear a bullet from afar today, although I've started talking about the endemic racism I encountered back then (not directed at me- they thought I was an "OK" person). Railroading used to be normal in the area.
Information from friends indicate that it's better today, but going downhill fast back to the day of "throwdowns" and planted evidence. |
