From CNN Breaking News...
-- Hikers find items belonging to missing aviator Steve Fossett in California, Mammoth Lakes police chief says.
Think they'll find him now?

That would be a great story if he somehow managed to survive. Doubtful, but one can always hope. |

'Between 1995 and 1998 Richard Branson, Per Lindstrand and Steve Fossett made attempts to circumnavigate the globe by balloon. In late 1998 they made a record-breaking flight from Morocco to Hawaii but were unable to complete a global flight '
After all those adventures, and all those dangers, for Fossett to die on a "routine" flight seems such an anti climax to a life, filled with such excitement. |

Life (and death) usually are 'routine'. |
