Michael Palin will tell the story of four men who died on the final day of World War I in a documentary. The Monty Python comedian visited the settings of WWI's final battles, for a new series to be shown by BBC2.

The presenter used new research to trace four men - from Britain, France, Canada and America - who died shortly before the ceasefire in November 1918. He also visited the battlefields of northern France and Belgium, and found the grave of his great-uncle Harry, who died in the Battle of Somme in 1916.

Palin's film coincides with the 90th anniversary of the end of the war.

It will be shown as part of the Timewatch series at 2000 GMT on 1 November.

I watched the series done by Ian Hislop, last year called "Not Forgotten".That really told some true dramatic ,and very personal stories of people and events during WW1.

I am sure, there will be some information on his official website.

He's also doing a one off show, going back to the trail he followed 20 years ago,The show is called '80 Days Revisited'.Which will possibly be shown as a one-hour special on BBC-1 around Christmas.
