Brummie accent voted least cool in Britain
The Brummie accent has been voted the least cool accent in Britain while The Queen's English carried the most cachet, according to a survey.
Regularly the butt of jokes from people in some parts of the country, the people of Birmingham even recently said they wanted to disown their distinctive Brummie accent.

I gotta ask - is there some sort of agenda going on here? First you take to task the story Sue posted on the Dunkirk veteran basically suggesting that getting the guys medals back that fell in the wather was a waste of time and now you are calling her to comment about her accent because of some idiotic poll you found?
Your reply to me in the other thread was suggesting that there must something else behind what I said; yeah there is - I see a very calculated attempt to debase someone and this is a great example of it. |
