Watch this video about Palin encouraging hunting from planes and the bounty she organised for hunters bringing in the severed legs of wolves and tell me you're not disgusted....

YES..GC...I know..I am part of the Group FIGHTING against Aerial
Decimation of the Wolf and Big Cat Population in Alaska....
We brought back the population because the US finally realised they had made a BIG Mistake obliterating the species and now they make big $$$
on these "Hunts" which do not entail ANY semblance of Hunting, but
rather a trapped killing spree...They are even shipping in the animals to New Mexico for these Chartered Killing Sprees...It IS Disgusting...I've SEEN It !!! |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFBoOHxuvqg | Give me a friggin` break! If some people do not have a problem with dismembering an unborn human infant to death THEN WHY should I and others have a problem with this?, besides, hunting is a time-honored american tradition. How else are humans suppose to acquire nutritional venison? |

Is it possible for you to just stick to the subject at hand and NOT bring in references to what YOU believe is Democratic rhetoric constantly?
Truthfully hunting and culling the numbers of starving deer also have
nothing to do with Shooting Wolves and Big Cats, the NATURAL
hunters of the Deer....for money and entertainment...especially
when they do not even Honour the animal by using the kill....
It might be a good idea for people to do some research into a subject before they spout insulting and scurious statements.... |

The areas, if you do some research, where MOST of the populations of
Wolves and Big Cats, that are being exploited and decimated in this fashion, are FAR from Habitated environs....
Though this is a Vid used as a Political Gesture...I am LOOKING PAST THAT
to the REAL message of what is occuring to these Majestic Animals...
and ask that you try to do the same....perhaps if you visualised
someone flying over your house and shooting your Dog, because
someone has put a Bounty on that particular Breed...it would strike
more to home.....
MOST of these animals, if left alone, and their areas not impinged
upon by greedy developers...Will Avoid MAN and his livestock...
MAYBE you would enjoy watching THIS VID ....
scroll down to bottom of page and pause the player there to not interrupt the main Vid |

Personally I don't get these attack ads, all I want are the facts not the drama and the drawing of conclusions. I don't think these ads are going to change anyone's mind and just cheapen the process. I mean it might be different there was a video on youtube of her on one of these hunts. In this situation I'd be willing to bet that she has a rational reason or explanation and a majority of the citizens of that state must agree with it. I know we had laws where they were not allowed to used dogs to track cougars that came to town. For me the answers is somewhere in between I've heard sad stories on both sides. Of course not that I'd ever vote for her in a million and a half years times PI to the 700 billionth power. |

I'm sorry, but I won't watch it. The thought of killing any animal is too horrific to me.
But GC, if you are so strongly for animal rights, are you willing to quit eating any animal flesh, and not use any products from animals? Do you really think that when they butcher an animal for human consumption that the animal skips into the slaughter house, and then has a party? You are living in a world of denial......
As far as wolves being dangerous to people.... as far as I have always read, there have been no deaths from wolf attack in the history of this country. They pose no threat, and neither would bears and big cats if they were given sufficient territory to hunt and live. But then I don't support the killing of animals.... that's why I don't support eating meat. |

If we don`t the U.S. economy goes down the tubes and a global depression might ultimately be the result. I`m just as tempted as you are TheWebMan, to say to them "You wall street blankerblankers can go blank yourselves!.....and take those washington blankerblankers with ya!" but it`s just not an option. |

I ws horrified when she was announced as a running mate for a potential US President. This woman refused to put Polar Bears on the endangered species list and is encouraging more and more big business to move into Alaska, without appropraite climate controls. Giving out more licences for oil exploration and distruction of the enviroment than practically any previous Governor.
Lets not even go to her parental skills - or lack there of !!

I eat meat very rarely for the sake of my health and the planet and when I do, I eat free range, ethically sourced meat. However, if you can't see the difference between eating meat to sustain yourself and gaining amusement from killing wild creatures out of a helicopter then there's not a lot I can say.... |

| I would have thought it wold be the right who would question whether Palin could actually raise five children, including one with special needs and potentially be the President of the US. If she can do both successfully, kudos to her, but in my experience, something's got to give....and yes, I am aware that people wouldn't ask a man that question..... |

There's nothing wrong with hunting. Especially if it's to control animal populations that are too big to be supported by nature. BOTH prey and predator animals sometimes get out of control and the latter have been known to attack and kill human beings for food. Especially children as they're easier prey the adults. We've had more then one occasion in California where mountain lions have killed and eaten hikers because there wasn't enough deer or other prey animals to support them.
Palin is a good, decent woman with MORE experience then either Obama or Hillary. People should stop bashing her.
Besides which, frankly, I'll be honest, since he has a Muslim father, I'm not confident that Obama will support Israel and it's important that America helps keep the Promised Land in the hands of the people it was actually promised by God to.
So even though I think extremism in EITHER direction is bad for the country, I'm voting McCain. And anyone who doesn't like that can, as a great fictional woman once said, "Kiss my grits." |

Polly Holliday played Florence Jean Castleberry of the 70's tv show Alice. One of my favorite tv characters. Lots of spunky attitude. |

The COYOTE and Cougar incidents in Southern California were due to GREEDY Developers building on KNOWN Animal Territories and Feeding grounds....
Please try to get the facts right before you call Wolves KILLERS...
there has NOT been ONE CASE of a Wolf Killing in the USA on a Human.

Take time to READ | Yes, but why should the physical safety of human beings, especially children, EVEN BE GAMBLED WITH?......that is unless one is willing to assign the same moral value to the lives of animals as human beings? Do you so wish to do????? |

Morgram, I side with LS on this one. There are no reported deaths of humans from wolves. I've been within 30 feet of wolves, as well as being close to coyote, bobcats, bears, and we had a cougar that use to roam in front of our house when we lived in Woodland. I've never had any animal bother me, although I can't say the same for people......
This is JMO, but I think of the Earth as being leased to us from God. He put upon it gardens, and a wonderous zoo. Some day he is going to come back, and the fact that we've driven most of his zoo into extinction, or near extinction, and pretty much trashed the place, is not going to bode well for us. God took the time to individually create each creature on this planet, and they deserve our respect. God made us caretakers of this planet, and that means caring for his creations, not destroying them. Again, JMO. |
