These pictures will give you an idea whet it was like here yesterday, the dust comes from near Bourke in the middle of Australia and travels hundreds of kilometres at high speed. The dust covered the Australian snowfields that look very red today instead of white.
Sorry if the pics are a little big, the shots were taken in the middle of the day

| Wow! I bet that dust makes it hard to drive thru. I think that I would have to wear a dust mask. |

That doesn't look like it could be much fun. I can't imagine what your car must look like after one of those storms.
Do you even go out when you have something like that going on? |

This is the second one in two weeks. Last week we had a dust storm and then Dam!!! it rained "just a little". The cream walls of our homes were red, and the windows were just this brown/red mess:) and My grand daughters car, was just this brown blob, the only one home it was in the paddock here and got the full mess:) The swimming pool well we wont talk about it!!
The sad thing about this is the soil from these areas is never recovered, the framers live on the edge of the desert. and in turn after many years the land out there, because of lack of rain is now becoming un workable, and desert like as well.
