That was a great season opening. Loved the Coast Guard scene.
I see now where someone got the Shatner dying rumor too. |

Just saw the show and ...uh, yeah Denny, you and Alan are weird! Not wanting to spoil the story for those who haven't seen it yet, IMO I think that I would love for Denny to end the series with a finale that has a bit more dignity to it than him obsessing about his whatzit. I wish they could have used that wonderful episode with the flashbacks that illustrated his father and him in the courtroom and saved it for the end of the series. I'm just afraid the subsequent episodes just going to be farcical making Denny seem even more buffoonish. I'm all for weirdness and laughter but it ain't no laughing matter when all a guy thinks about when he's starting to wind down is his "junk." Then again for all I know that's all a guy thinks about when his last days are up. A man should check out with a bit of dignity. |

Can you imagine a phone with those ring tones? I think our husbands and boyfriends would take away our phones and our computers for sure. |

It'd be more embarrassing if mine had the sheep ringtone on it. We have one of our phones say "blah blah blah blah" when our son calls us. |

| I have to admit, until last night I have never watched an episode of Boston Legal. And the fact my first time they used Barry Manilow's Tryin' To Get The Feelin' as background music - YES! My only complaint - the camera work. The way it swings back and forth to pan between people left me with major motion sickness and I had to close my eyes many times to keep from throwing up. |

I watched 20 minutes of the show and turned it....in other words it was just awful...if that is all Denny is going to be about on the show then i am done with it...Bill is a great actor and his character of Denny Crane deserves to have better than that..The coast guard scene is the only thing I liked of the show that I saw that was truly Denny Crane and Alan shore.
If a man was having that problem, I wouldn't be flouting it all over and doing things Denny did...Couldn't of they had a shot where Denny is telling Alan he is having a problem and they agree to talk about it and then cut to some thing else after they go into a Dr office and shut the door?

I agree with you on that one. I am wondering since this is the last season of Boston Legal and James Spader IS supposed to be the STAR of the show, that they are putting his character more out in front to make sure Spader can carry a show by himself. He will have to if he is to get lead roles in the future.
So far, Spader has been a good actor, but I sense the focus has been more on the Denny character which makes it seem like Spader is riding in on Shatner's coat tails. I mean let's face it. Would you watch the show if Shatner were NOT in it? I am not sure that I would.
With that said, I DO hope they get some really good Emmy potential episodes out there for all of the cast members. It would be great if next year, BL sweeps the Emmys and goes out with REAL CLASS! |

Didn't he mention in his autobiography that for that show he had to be caught in a closet in a compromising possition with that sex doll? I mean, if he can play that I don't see why a scene playing that his impotent would bug him. And I frankly, with what little I know of Denny Crane (most of it coming from Bill's book) think that's very much what that character would do. He wouldn't go to the doctor. He's obsess. Try to sleep with a client. Obsess some more.... |

The situation was embarrassing. I didn't think it was all that funny either.
I'm just glad my kids weren't in the room. |

I've only finished watching season three!!!! I prefer to watch them when they are released on DVD no breaks! So I can't wait to see what your all talking about!!!!!!
A part like Denny Crane doesn't come along that often, he's had lots of strange and wonderful things to do.. none of it boring and most of it thought provoking. Normal?!? People do the strangest things the writers of Boston Legal and Bill with his colleagus infront of the camera are bring the writers imagination to life in front of us.
Bill's a professional. If it bothered him to do anything he probably won't tell. |

| Did you catch the "Trek" pun at the beginning of the show? "But, I'm the captain." |
