The truly sad thing is, Harry, that Burma keeps falling beneath the world's radar, and has for about 20 years. Every time there is a new protest, etc., Burma gets some mild media attention for a short time, and then, once again, is forgotten.

I certainly pray for the peace of Burma, and for it's brave lady, Aung San Suu Kyi. There are few people today that I think of when I think of dignity and peace, but that is what truly defines her.

Due to my personal connection with the country, it is easy for me to remain dedicated to the cause for change, but I must admit that I feel that my many efforts to stop Burma from being forgotten are somewhat folly at best. However, I have to do something, and as small as my contributions are, combined with efforts of the many thousands around the world, our voice becomes louder and louder... The problem is that the generals are deaf to outsiders. Our job is to put pressure on our own politicians, so that they don't drop the ball and keep asserting demands for change.

Change is coming, but when, is anyone's guess.

I wonder at the sacrifice these people of good heart make for their Countrymen and are soon forgotten...they should have an Honour Memorial Sad
