The Europeans are heavily favored.......however
I have a feeling the US team chemistry might come to form
playing with 6 Ryder Cup rookies and without Tiger.
Tomorrow thru Sunday, this is some of the best golf competition
you will find anywhere.

Maybe we will let the U.S win this year, i think our players are getting a bit fed up of being number one all the time. Then again we might just win on the home stretch
Europe trail the United States 9-7 going into the 12 singles matches, but only need a draw to retain the Cup. It is the first time that Europe have been behind going into the singles since Oakhill in 1995, when Faldo secured a vital point against Curtis Strange after coming back from one down with two to play. |

| I have some very entertaining grass that I would rather watch....the papers over here are talking about the crowds lack of sportsmanship and the US players encouraging it. Hope the golf can take over the headlines.... |

You need to stop reading those tabloids
There is a home field crowd advantage every two years. That's
why they play here now and over there in two years...
/does every thread have to turn political? |

I think GC is referring to the Poulter/Kim incident. From what I've seen of Ian Poulter he could start a fight in an empty room, plus he's an Arsenal fan, which in my book puts him just below the French.
The Ryder Cup is always about the personalities and sure as hell when it's back here next time round our crowds will be giving the Americans just as much stick as our team are getting now. They're big boys, they can handle it. |

Speaking of Ian Poulter, he was a Captain's pick.
The same British tabloids GC reads gave Faldo hell for picking him
over the likes of Darren Clarke.
Guess what?...he has been unbeatable in this competition |

A great contest,at least the the U.S,got to win on home soil.
The United States claimed their first Ryder Cup win since 1999 after cruising to victory over Europe in Kentucky.
Leading 9-7 going into Sunday's singles, Paul Azinger's men reached the 14½ points they needed for victory when Jim Furyk beat Miguel Angel Jimenez. And it put the contest beyond doubt despite there being four matches still left out on the Valhalla course.
