JFK- traveling with my folks and my brother from Texas to Florida to visit my grandma. We stopped at a gas station, and the attendant told my folks, who told us. We'd been living in Dallas at the time, and if we hadn't left, we very likely would have been there to watch the parade. I have only vague memories of the time, but it was a period of sadness.
Challenger- at a customer's place. I didn't know it happened until I went outside and looked towards where the shuttle was lifting off, and saw that horrible cloud. The cloud lasted for a long time, as Susan mentioned. It broke my heart and gave me nightmares.
911- Sitting here in my chair, and my father-in-law called and told me that a plane had hit one of the twin towers. I watched the news for the rest of the day, and had it on for as long as they had coverage. I've never felt such a deep rage as I did that day.
JR- never watched the show. Thought it was just a stupid gimmick. |

Just for the record, I didn't watch Dallas, I put it
in there as a joke, it was however in the book...
Back in those days I had a co-worker. We used to go out
with him and his wife, always a good time in any atmosphere.
But NEVER on Friday nights, had to get their JR fix.
This is the same guy I had to talk into joining me in a car-rally.
Almost had to beat him over the head to come. Next day he
was looking thru these newspaper looking for car-rally's
throughout the state.
Yup...One of THOSE guys
/I'm rambling
//no you're not
