About a month ago I had my PC wiped clean. I didn't
realize how much I would miss, especially all my old
friends email addresses, anyway, I'll plod on.

I just re-found an old bookmark from before that really came in handy.

So, I'll post part of a TOS transcript and you finish quote as close
as you can. I suppose it would be easy to cheat, but it would be more fun to
guess, no
Question

Start with the first season. All TOS

Winded?
You'd be the last one I'd tell.
Kirk here. What's going on?
Have a look at this, Captain.
What's that?
Undetermined.
Whatever it is, it's blocking our way.
When we move, it moves.
A vessel of some kind?
Negative. More some type of device.
I'll be right up.
You could see the alarm lights.
Why didn't you tell me?
Finally finished a physical on you.
What am l, a doctor or a moon shuttle conductor?

PS...I don't expect anybody to get these word for word, you can say
"he says something like".....blah blah blah... close counts here Wink

If I took notice every time an alarm came on,
I'd end up talking to myself

Something like that!,

Are you suggesting we fight to prevent a fight?
Based on what?
Memories of an old war?
On theories about a people we've never even met?
We know what they look like.
Indeed we do.
If Romulans are an offshoot
of my Vulcan blood

I don't know if I could finish any of the quotes, but I might be able to guess the episode they were spoken in.

Winded?
You'd be the last one I'd tell.
Kirk here. What's going on?

Have a look at this, Captain. The Devil in the Dark or The Naked Time

What's that? Balance of Terror when Kirk caught a crewman making a smart remark about Spock. (I was going to say, the movie, The journey home when Katherine Hicks' character spotted Kirk's "Pocket pager."

Undetermined.

Whatever it is, it's blocking our way. Tholian Web

When we move, it moves.

A vessel of some kind? Space Seed

Negative. More some type of device.

I'll be right up.

You could see the alarm lights.

Why didn't you tell me? Amok Time

Finally finished a physical on you. Turnabout Intruder

What am l, a doctor or a moon shuttle conductor? The Corbormite Manueuver.

Ok, Some of these may be wrong, but I gave it my best shot. I am not sure if I could finish the sentences because they seem to be a complete sentence or thought in themselves. Maybe someone else can do better.

This is fun.

Where is any part of that phrase in your list Gornie? Am I missing something. Which sentence does the above finish? I don't understand.

SMB, these quotes are in sequence of what was said and
come from one episode. In the first quotes case, it was from

The Corbomite Maneuver

But, good idea and I think you are going to be good at this game Idea

Extra credit if you can also guess the episode?

DeBe good enough, you actually sorta went beyond BTW

Here is the one line answer

then attack becomes even more imperative.

But I swear, it's not in the transcript, but my memory is this

Are you suggesting we fight to prevent a fight?
Based on what?
Memories of an old war?
On theories about a people we've never even met?
We know what they look like.
Indeed we do.
If Romulans are an offshoot
of my Vulcan blood,
and I think this likely
then attack becomes even more imperative.

It's my favorite episode,Balance of Terror so I know more than transcripts... Cool

I'll find another Arrow

You Kirk?
Yes.
What is all this?
I figure we'll be spending some time together, so I moved in.
I hope I'm not crowding you.
What's the matter? Don't you like books?
Oh, I like them fine, but a computer takes less space.
[Scoffs] A computer, huh?
I got one of these in my office.
Contains all the precedents,
a synthesis of all the great legal decisions written throughout time.
- I never use it. - Why not?
I've got my own system.

something like....
"not in these homogenized computers. If you want to really know the law, you have to read it in it's own language...Here in the books"

Ok I know that is really paraphrasing, but anyway, that's my idea of what comes next.

Good job deb, Daisy, SMB

You Kirk?
Yes.

- I never use it. - Why not?
I've got my own system.
Books, young man, books. Thousands of them.
If time wasn't so important, I'd show you something-- my library.
Thousands of books.
- What would be the point? - This is where the law is,
not in that homogenized, pasteurized, synthesized--
Do you want to know the law,
the ancient concepts in their own language,
Learn the intent of the men who wrote them,
from Moses to the tribunal of Alpha 3?

I was waiting on homogenized etc....and maybe "Moses"

Shore-leave party one, standby your section.
You willbe called in alphabetical order.
Mr. Spock, we're beaming down the starboard section first.
Which section would you like to go with?
Not necessary in my case, Captain.
On my planet,

Here's another one to ponder:

The aircraft has completely broken up.
Shall we turn off the tractor beam?
Affirmative. We have the pilot aboard.
I'll be right up. Kirk out.
Follow me.
Good morning, Captain.
Good morning. Captain.
