..thy name is vanity.  This reminds me of a short story in the Yertle the Turtle series by Doctor Seuss. It was called Gertrude McFuzz. It was an excellent illustration of how we should be greatful for who we are and what we're bless with in life. Evidently this feathered fowl doesn't prescribe to that opinion. |

I don't like 80's fashions. I think this is the era where that word "metrosexual" came from. I never understood the word until I remembered this old show this morning. |

Here's another style from the 80's modeled by Cindi Lauper that to me was too busy looking. Multiple layers of cloth and that fishnet stuff I think was called tulle. Madonna sported this look for a while too when she couldn't think of what else to get all vogue about. Then she copied Cher. I had a friend that really liked this style back when I was in highschool. She even had tulle scarves wrapped in her hair and around her wrists. I was into jeans and cowboy boots or hightops back then. I'm short so I couldn't pull off the multiple layer look and it looked too uncomfortable in the summer time. I hardly suffer for fashion if I can help it. I'm a more practical person. |

This does look unappetizing and would sit in your tummy for about a week....mung beans just welll.....sound gross and like it came out of the south end of a dewback  Mung rhymes with dung and that sounds just...nasty...

Nana's Nursing Home...
A wealthy family took their frail, elderly grandmother to a famous and expensive nursing home and left her, hoping she would be well cared for.
The next morning, the nurses luxuriously bathed her- fed her a tasty breakfast cooked by a famous chef, and set her in a chair at a window overlooking a lovely flower garden.
She seemed okay, but after a while she slowly started to tilt sideways in her chair.
Two attentive nurses immediately rushed up to catch her and straighten her up.
Again she seemed okay, but after a while she slowly started to tilt over to her other side.
The nurses rushed back and once more brought her back upright. This went on all morning.
Later, the family arrived to see how the old woman was adjusting to her new home.
"So Grandma, how is it here? Are they treating you all right?"
"It's pretty nice," she replied.
"Except they won't let me fart." |
