Finally, FINALLY, someone has brought this out into the open. How long have I laid in my bed, contemplating this problem, and wondering if I was alone.......
It's aliens, Johnny. It's aliens. Small, microscopic aliens, who subsist on Skittles. Then their tiny little alien bodies take on the colors of said Skittles. Usually, they remain invisible. But the water, that unique magical water that is present only in sprinkler water, drives them to commit obscene acts of naughtiness. Yes, that's right, it all has to do with alien reproduction. Small, brightly Skittle colored alien reproduction. Thank God it's all finally out in the open. I feel a little better now, knowing I'm not the only one who knows. There is hope, Johnny, Thank God, there is finally hope.........

Personally, I hate skittles. And I have news for that lady. I have been seeing rainbows in my sprinklers all of my life of 57 years. Did she just land in from Mars or something?
