Okay, totally made you look........
Okay, seriously, I did consider posting some semi-nude males just to make a point, but decided it would be in poor taste. Yeah, I know, we do post topless pics of Bill, but hello, it's his site.
Okay, some serious stats. 1 out of every 4 girls is molested before she hits the age of 10. Every woman I know has been pinched, grabbed at, annoyed, humiliated, etc., just because they're females. And what is really depressing, is that those are the lucky ones. The unlucky ones were attacked, and some didn't survive.
Just something to think about the next time you need to post a semi-nude pic of some gal, with some tacky comment. Most of you guys have daughters, sisters, wives, girlfriends. Well, those gals are somebody's daughter, sister, wife, girlfriend. Maybe you should treat them with the same respect you'd want for your female family members.
For every "member" who posts here, there are hundreds of visitors. I'd say half, at least, are women, and some of them are bound to be under the age of 18. Probably not all that fun for them to see the tacky pics.
And no, I'm actually not a prude, or even the "b" word. I'm just one of those unlucky gals, who is really starting to find all of this a bit too much. |

The most compelling argument from some is that certain pics are done in good taste.
I'd rather eat a cheeseburger. |

I love your new pic, Mary!
Well, I can't eat the cheeseburger, but I'd go for some fries.....
Honestly, I don't mind the "tasteful" pics, especially if it is confined to one thread. But, geezy louezy, it's on more and more threads, and the pics aren't tasteful. And I don't like to see women referred to as "pieces", or something to be ridden. Honestly, if the guys need to look at the tacky pics, can't they just buy their own porn the way nature intended??? |

Lots of good points, Cat. And the major reason I quit the Spicey thread. I didn't feel comfortable posting anymore knowing about all this stuff, besides the pukiness I was feeling, since I too have had family that's been hurt at one time and I've come close a time or two myself to being hurt by others. Also, I'm trying to set a good example for my daughter. I just couldn't in good conscience post anymore. Sorry, fellas, but I have to jump on the chick bandwagon. |

| Hugh Hefner (a nice Jewish boy) made a fortune on smut. He lives in a mansion/dormitory with a bunch of naked girls walking around. This is the American way. Deal with it. |

You know what, this is not worth my time and effort. If it takes making others look like less in order to feel good about yourselves, then go for it.

In this forum there's so much talk about "minorities" being bashed and treated unfairly. I'm probably being naive, but where I come from there are no "minorities" there's just people. But, I still notice that if you're a certain gender you are treated unfairly. You are groped, ogled, talked ugly to, and treated like someone with only half a brain. Just because males think that females divided up their "miniscule half brains" and put them in their boobs. While the males just divided up theirs and put them in their little heads and sat on the rest. Alot of men are generous, caring and compassionate people who would be upset over the unfair treatment of a "fellow" human being. And then there are the rest. The pigs. As long as there's women out there who are going to be tolerating the "pigs" and there's the men out there that are going to be doing the same, then it's going to be an unfair world for a lot of young ladies. I'd really like to hear of some men who've been groped by both sexes while in their adulthood. Not when they were children, because unfortunately that happens too much and children no matter what sex are easy targets. Are there any men out there that have had to fend off the amorous and obnoxious advances of people like us women have? I'd really like to know. And if you could put a funny spin on the story I'd appreciate it, because I hear enough tragedy as it is. |

Sorry ladies, the thread in question, was an appreciation of women, not an objectification of them, IMO. No disrespect was intended on my part. Yeah, certain words were put out there, and maybe shouldn't of been, but a simple PM to the sorce would of solved that.
Just because we like to look at these ladies doesn't make us perverts. I've never attacked, groped, pinched, humiliated or talked down to a woman just because she was a woman. Sheesh, I'm raising three teenage girls, do you really think I could be like that?
BTW, guys are the target of sexual harrassment very often in our modern world, the difference is that it's not socially acceptable for them to tell. If they do, they are not only quite often dismissed, but are mocked by their friends, co-workers, etc.
And as I recall there were quite a few "poor starving guys that couldn't afford proper clothing" on the thread too. And some of the stuff the ladies posted was about equal to the word "piece".
I thought it was all in fun......
Sorry if I offended any of you, it was never my intent.

Okie dokie, Steve. Let me just say that your response is genuinely honest and I like it alot. That's probably more than alot of gentlemen would be willing to say on their behalf. Maybe you don't like how I responded at the time, but, being a mother of a little girl, I hope you understand my honest feelings towards her well being. And, are you sure that you don't have a story to divulge in the harrassment department? I've got one or two I could share and I'm more than willing to hear your stories. I hope all's cool now. In fact my husband just read me the riot act for my last post because he's the ultimate gentleman even though he likes provocative pictures, too. He's never groped or pinched anyone...except me. Pax, Steve! |

Uh... Angel....
The discussion about the treatment of minorities is well justified. In this country, the TALK is "just people" but the reality is vastly different. My own research has shown this to be true. (The misreporting on the Jena Six situation clearly showed a pattern of racism at the highest levels!) Our own experiences also show this to be true- I think being thrown out of a church, denied services in businesses, and forced to quit/fired from jobs JUST BECAUSE we're American Indian also show that the reality is far from the propaganda. Ditto for the experiences of women. The experiences of other minorities mirror those we've gone through.
I'm uncomfortable with your statement about minorities, because I regularly encounter people who think we get special treatment- well, we do. We get abuse and not privileges- and a lot of people would like to deny us the freedoms THEY enjoy in the name of "no special privileges". One of the more heinous versions of this is churches who claim to be worried about freedom of religion- but they don't want our belief systems to be legal/practiced because we're those "Horrible Heathens" (even though our faith is a form of pre-Columbian Christianity!) Oh, yeah... we have the freedom to practice THEIR religion.
When you cut through the language, it becomes clear that they're just practicing another form of racism.
On the "Naughty Bits Thread"...
I saw that other thread- but having read the research on the sociological and psychological impact on strippers (and women trapped in other shall we say: revealing jobs)- makes me very sensitive to the misrepresentation and treatment of women. Add to that our cultural view about such things- and I just wasn't interested and even felt a bit disgusted. |

All I go by is what I experience here, my town.. What goes on in other parts of the country I cannot say. If these things are still a problem then I pray for them not to be so anymore. I can't say yay to the fact that these problems still exist here, because I never see them. And even though I'm not a registered "minority" my skin color is more or less the same as yours, Muskogee wise, seeing how I've got the same stock in me as you do. I don't think of myself as a minority, just a human being. And I feel that disrespect towards anyone of race, creed, gender, etc. is reprehensible no matter what. I'm just a simple housewife. I've never done intensive studies of the sociological problems of the human races. I just know right and wrong and it's not all together right to think that "minorities" are being mistreated in all states. If in Oklahoma it's so..at least in my hometown, I'm not seeing it. We're a peaceful coexisting town around here. I'm sorry that I have to disagree with you on this one, Bob. But here, in this town, no one's being abused racially. We're a big Catholic town and the rest of the churches here are just as loving. We don't have outright prejudice. And if it does exist, then it's very well hidden because I know alot of people here. Lots, and I've lived in this area all my life. Maybe things are different where you come from and I'm sorry for that. But you can't "whitewash" all of America. At least don't add my little piece of it to the canvas. |

Of course I understand your protectiveness, I deal with it all the time with my three . However, it's not that I "like" or "dislike" your response, it's your opinion and you are entitled to it. I just didn't think that the thread was that big of a threat, especially since the women weren't naked or too suggestive, IMO. Just beautiful....

No stories, Steve? I'm truly disappointed! And Pax means " the kiss of peace" in Latin. You have a great night too, Steve! |
