When the number of views are listed on the page of threads, do they represent actual people clicking and reading the posts or are there bots strolling through that also trigger the "view" number?
Does anyone know for sure?
Just curious. |

| MSN, Google and other seach engines do have bots that sweep through here but as to whether they artificially increase the view count is probably negligible. It's probably more of the lurkers who read the threads. |

OK, Lurk away! I sometimes post something and then make a log of how many times it is viewed. Even when it goes off the front page, the view numbers sometime increase. That is what made me wonder about it.
See there? Some of us are lurking the lurkers!
MUHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!! back at ya! |
