Not family members. Just the bad guys. I liked the 60's ABC series with "KA-POW!" "BOFF!" "ZAP!"

The guys at work were saying this new Batman's voice is really irritating. Putting on the gruff voice like the pro wrestlers.

Yeah, I read that somewhere. Someone said that the gruffness in Bale`s voice sounded too forced.

They should have dubbed in the voice of Kevin Conroy. He had the best voice for Batman. Sexy. Cool

I think I can manage to seperate the character from the actor, I don't really look at the personal lives of actors I prefer to base things on their acting. You don't get a hair cut from a guy because of his personal life.

Same here. It's just a movie.

Unfortunately in this day and age of CNN, you can hear about something almost five minutes within it happening. Sometimes that's a good thing. Other times that's bad. It makes lives too transparent and doesn't always give us a chance to filter all the information that we are receiving.

While violence against anyone or anything is wrong, why do we care more about it when it happens to the realm of celebrity hood? We should worry about it more as it happens on our own streets and in our own neighborhoods first.

I heard that the altercation was started between Bale and his mother, when she suggested that he sign-up for TV Land. Of course, Bale having good taste was infuriated. Things got worse, when his mother pulled out application forms. This became too much, so Bale lost it and now look what a mess bloody TV Land got him into. Why can't they leave him alone....?

I, personally, went on Saturday to see "The Dark Knight" and was most definitely impressed with the way that the movie came off. Going into the film knowing what Batman Begins was like and seeing the previews for this movie, I knew I was in for a very dark reinterpretation of how things go down in Gotham. I was not disappointed in the least. I found Bale to once again juggle the dual role of Batman/Bruce Wayne very well, Aaron Eckhart was very good as Harvey Dent and his descent into the madness that is Twoface. I really didn't like the recast of Rachel Dawes. Maggie Gyllenhaal, no offense to her, but she just didn't do nearly as good a job as Katie Holmes.

The real Star of the film for me, though, was Heath Ledger's Joker. He played the part of the sociopath arch nemesis to batman so well... I really believed he was who the make-up said he was. It really is sad that he'll never be able to know the success that was finally his.

Is it true that in the UK verbal assault is treated as a crime similarly to physical assault? If so, I really hope that's all it amounted to be, and that the media is making more of a fuss about it than it should be (like it does with most celebrity news). Either way, the facts aren't all in yet and I hope that everyone involved is okay.

That said, Harry's theory is pretty sound Laughing

I was never a big Batman fan. I only watched the TV show when I was in Junior High School because our English teacher gave us extra credit for watching it and making note of all of the metaphors used in the scripting.

You got it!, daisy. I only like the first one back in 1989 with Michael Keaton. The sequel "Batman Returns" was a disaster and caused the whole future franchise to jump the track from which it has never recovered. However, despite this recent controversy I think "The Dark Knight" is a winner! I have viewed parts of the movie but have not really sat thru it but I gotta tell ya. In appearance Christian Bale is dead on as Batman.
