Oh hon, I'm sorry to hear that you aren't doing well.
I found one thing that helped me was understanding what was going on. When I was having a panic attack, it felt like something awful was going to happen, or like I was having a heart attack or something ~ really a scary feeling. Knowing what is actually going on lessoned the fear I felt.
And remember that this is your body's way of telling you that you've been under too much for too long. It's warning you that you need to do something before the stress you have been under does some harm to your body. Things are out of whack, and you need to re-balance yourself. If your stomach is bothering you, then acidophilus or yogurt may help. Try to watch the caffeine, and anything that pushes your system. Find things that comfort you. You need to take care of yourself, although it's easy to forget to do that when caring for everyone else. For caregivers, it can be really hard to take the time to care for your own health, but we can only push ourselves so far before we have health problems. We care about you, Pippa, so please take care of you! |

And have you tried listening to your favorite music (preferably through earphones or headphones) with no other distractions? Just focus on the music. |
I tried that, but for some reason I'm to restless to listen for more than 5 minutes |

Then my next question is....
WWJD?
I am guilty of not listening either. |

Harry, I know you're right ....it's the sad that makes us appreciate the good all the more.
Usualy I'm such a possitive person ...there was nothing I couldn't handle.
And now...
But you are right and so are the others that advised me to try meditation... having to get back to ME is what I should try...
Maybe the stars can tell me what it is I'm looking for.... |

It's so stupid Mary...I feel stupid for not being able to control my body and mind just because of some problems the last few years !
I'm tired, but cant sleep ...I'm hungry but cant eat...
I know it's all in the mind, but I HATE BEING LIKE THIS !!!! |

Dear Pippa, you are no where to being stupid. You're one of the smartest nicest people I know! It's just that sometimes we can't always control ourselves and need a bit of extra help in that department. No shame, no guilt in this. This is just life sometimes. You've got the people you love and care about you and who love and care about you. That's the strength in us that we sometimes overlook. We go blind to that in our times of grief. If I could I'd give you such a bear hug now so you'd feel more anchored down instead of feeling untethered. |

Yes, it is very much in the mind. I KNOW.
I am going through stress right now like you wouldn't believe. Kevin is still out of a job. Bills are piling up. That kind of thing. And I have my husband here to help me try to balance it all out.
IT ISN'T EASY.
But don't forget you have friends here who really care about you if you need someone to talk to. It is best to talk about it like I am doing here.
I did send you an email a couple of days ago. Don't know if you received it. |

And that, is a Hell of a good question! I'd be lying if I said I had been able to accomplish that. I just know what happens if you don't take care of yourself when you start getting these warning signs.
I ignored those signs, and now I am faced with the possibility of the autoimmune disease I have becoming lymphoma, or MS, or the possibility of my kidneys and eyes shutting down. I can no longer take care of those around me the way I want to, and the guilt is terrible.
If I could go back in time, I think I'd try harder to listen to what my body was saying before it was too late. I'd feel better now, and I'd actually be better able to care for those I love.
Be smarter than I was, Pippa. Dang, that shouldn't be hard...... ; ) |

Pippa:
Just look in the mirror and say to yourself, "I have many friends that care about me and besides, PM (DOC) thinks I'm cute!"
Hope your feeling better; sorry I have not been around that offen.
