| Anyone watch it? Wasn't it great? my favourite was the synchronised typeface, the one where people became the character for harmony. that plus the drumming and the lighting of the torch. Hope London was watching, don't know how they're going to top that! |

| It was beautiful. Amazing how all of those drummers and dancers were so synchronized. I also liked the little girl who flew through the air with her kite, and the fireworks were spectacular. It was also wonderful to see all of those athletes from so many different countries walking behind their flags and waving to audience. |

They've shown us the way. It was a fantastic spectacle. In 2012 I hope the watching world will be treated to something as spectacular. Only problem is EU red tape will probably mean no fireworks, acrobats or an Olympic Torch due to health and safety concerns. We'll have to settle for....

| Go tell it to the tibetans. My support is with that courageous trooper the Dalai Lama. |

I'm not trying to be a party-pooper, but I gave MY WORD
to boycott the Olympics this time...and once given, once kept
I have VERY GOOD REASONS for it....
You don't want to hear.... |

I was thinking the same thing; about how another host will be able to top the opening ceremonies. I liked the bagpipes.
I was embarrassed to realize how many countries I've never even heard of!
Bob Costas and the other announcer were pretty bad, I thought. How many times did they have to mention about the alphabetical order being different from the English language. O.K., enough already. I get it. It's not from A to Z. Notice how the director kept focusing on all the hotties from around the world! Lots of cute women!!! |

Wished I'd watched the Opening Ceremony. I boycotted it. Yesterday I found out the most amazing woman soprano singer and she sang the song that opened the Olympics, her name was Sarah Brightman.
Now I wish I'd have seen it, but I heard snippets of the song on Youtube. Everyone check out Sarah's new CD, Symphony, which has some really incredible songs!! She's a true vocal powerhouse!!
I'm also contemplating reading Bill's new book. |
