AT LAST, they showed some Keystone Cops films yesterday. Obviously, our pressure is now reaping rewards, as such as they are.
However, I was looking through the scheduling for kids shows only to find that they will be doing re-runs of Howdy frickin' Doody! I am certain that many of you will support my campaign to replace this Fifties modernity with the far more appropriate 1920's Felix The Cat.
WHEN WILL TV LAND LISTEN TO ITS PAYING PATRONS!!! Thank goodness, I have so much free time to spend on this campaign! Perhaps, one day there will be a statue erected of me in Washington DC, which will be replete with the valour I have shown in fighting the scourge of TV Land.
YES!
NO!

I hate to burst your bubble, but I stopped watching Howdy Doody when I was about eight years old. |

...my favorite "Monk" quote:
"I'm pretty sure Howdy Doody was a puppet."

Damn you, TV Land! This is outrageous! Howdy frickin' Doody?!?? These people at TV Land are off their rocker!
I was in a confined area yesterday, breathing in a LOT of paint fumes when it occured to me that TV Land MUST play Felix the Cat along with The Katzenjammer Kids. Thank God for paint fumes.
As Harry mentioned, this has been a thankless campaign to date. There should be a statue in D.C. and in every city, town and villa across the U.S. dedicated to our tireless efforts. On the bottom of the statue, there will be an inscription: "There! Take THAT, stupid TV Land!" That's what it should say, I say! |

Well they've been showing 'Hogans Heroes' and now "The Honeymooners" on Sunday evenings. As a former member of R.A.L.P.H. I enjoy seeing the later once more. |

| What are you people talking about? TV Land is not showing Howdy Doody. Hell, I just want to see Dennis the Menace with Jay North. Next year is the show`s 50th anniversary you know. |

Howdy Doody was on right before that new TV Land show, Family Foreman. I can't watch either of 'em! Half the time, the Howdy Doody shows barely include Clarabell and on Family Foreman, there are about 8 or 9 people named, "George" and I'm getting confused as to which George they're referring to.
We're all on the same page, here. Bring back Dennis the Menace, (any Mr. Wilson will do. I won't be too picky) The Keystone Kops, (I want the ones with Ford Sterling and Eddie Sutherland. I don't need to see Mack Sennet mugging for the camera with each episode) Felix the Cat and The Katzenjammer Kids (preferably the cast of 1912), and J'Accuse from 1919.
I'd like to see the Gas House Kids, too! Maybe Top Cat or Huckleberry Hound for the kids.
I think our efforts are beginning to have an influence on their programming decisions, FINALLY! |

What's wrong with Howdy Doody? At least it's not something really modern like - oh I forget the name of that one where they all work on a magazine and the woman who desperately needs to pluck/wax her eyebrows so she'd actually look like a woman is the owners daughter - that they've been showing.
I really miss The Dick Van Dyke Show. I loved the music passionately and would love to find sheet music for the songs (especially Sally's) so I could learn to sing them too. |
