You might remember when this accident happened 8 years ago this March.

This Southwest Airlines flight from Vegas overshot the runway at Burbank

The plane smashed past the airport fence, careened across the street and ended up with a
collapsed landing gear, right next to a gas station.

When Bob was in Sicily, he said they were paying 9.00+ a gallon.

Of course, coming from the stone age era, I remember going quite a ways on .50 cents worth of gas. Now-a-days, I don't think it would even be enough to start the engine. Shocked

Isn't it shocking how big the vehicles were when gas was cheap........ Shocked

I remember being shocked that gas had gone up two cents, to 54 cents per gallon when I bought my first car. Dang, I'm old......... Embarassed

Just below Chevron is the "Fast Pay" sign. I love Fast Pay because I don't think people are taking my money fast enough. I can't be bothered with magnetic strips and pinpads, just take my money. All of it. They should start a Super Fast Pay system. Even if you don't buy gas, your wallet is taken from you and you're issued store credit. Gee, that would be swell!
