Actually, a plane did go down in that area... but... there weren't any women on board and one of the foots is from a female. No DNA matches yet to confirm if these feet are from those folks.
It is a very weird story.
Some people speculate that because British Columbia is home to a large Asian population, this might be a Chinese mafia "hit".
BUT
None of the feet found were severed... Rather, they detached from the bodies because of decomposition.
And I can just here the Big Foot jokes starting about now.
| angel wrote: | Hokey Smokes, Debb! That's positively creepy! It sounds like a Kathy Reichs novel! Where are all these people coming from? They must be kidnapped, murdered, and thrown into the waters. And the animal paw is really weird. Kinda makes me think a kid must have pulled that prank. 5 people? Did a plane go down in that vicinity or a ship capsize? |

I was wondering if it was "mob" related but I didn't even think of the Chinese tongs. I'd also wondered if it were serial killer stuff. Big Foot...Sasquatch leaves trail of lo-mein and spring rolls at waters' edge. Duck sauce sprinkled liberally on the sand. |

Actually, I think the detached foots (still in running shoes) came from people who probably perished in a boating or small plane crash.
If the bodies were strapped in somehow, running shoes can be buoyant and float the foot away from the body, eventually washing ashore from the water current.

That makes a lot more sense. Still tragic, never the less. |

Considering how many drugs she does and how much she drinks, I wouldn't want to see what mutant comes out of her womb. |

Well, the reports of her substance abuse and addiction are well documented. But I dearly hope that she, and all others with similar problems, can overcome their addictions so that they can lead life to the fullest.
She has talent.

I disagree on the "talent" part - but we'll let that go, it's a matter of taste. If her fans trully loved her, they'd all stop buying her albums and going to her shows so they won't be giving her money to feed her habbits. (Especially after the recent video of her "singing" a "song" where she repeatedly used the N-word. It was very racist and I wonder why they booked her to sing for Nelson Mandela if she thinks it's okay to "sing" things like that about black people.)
I recently bought a Tommy Dorsey CD and it has two songs on it sung by Frank Sinatra. I never liked the guy. Never got why people said he was so great when Mel Torme was far superior. But then again, I only knew Frank after he destroyed his voice with booze and cigerettes. I mean, let's face it, everything he sung was off-key. Or as my vocal coach puts it, "In the cracks." Cause he destroyed his vocal cords through years of tabacco and alcohol abuse. Then I got this CD and OH MY GOD! His voice was SO INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL! I want to cry every single time I hear him now. Thinking how he threw this incredible gift from God away. I told mom today that the second a person gets a recording contract, they should be made to listen to Frank Sinatra. One song from when he was young and one from after he destroyed his voice. To warn them what might happen if they don't take care of their instrament.
Anyway - back on topic.

Here's a good one -
Detonating a nuclear device within the city limits results in a $500 fine. (Chico) |

Women must obtain written permission from their husbands to wear false teeth.
And....
At one time it was illegal to tie a giraffe to a telephone pole.
(This is in Vermont) |
